Pierre de la Rupelle took over the management of the Prince in 2018, a pioneer on Anakao (he created the Peter Pan). 11 hard bungalows lined up facing the lagoon, on the beach or on the land side, offer a comfortable volume with private sanitary facilities and hot water. 4 other bungalows are also operated by Michel, the neighbor and owner of the site. More arid, the place certainly offers less charm than the neighboring addresses, but there is no lack of activities to take advantage of the sea: whale watching, dugout canoe excursions, kayaks at disposal, trips to the park.

The Combava is a hotel located in Tana, Antananarivo. It lies halfway between the international airport and the city, offering a convenient location for travelers. The hotel offers uniquely decorated rooms, with warm or pastel colors, and scents ranging from vanilla to Telomiova room. A good plan for small budgets. The bungalows are simple but pleasant and colourful, such as the large garden and the bar, lively in the evening. Well thought out. There are also various excursions and activities.

This beautiful establishment is a success, away from the center and the beach sometimes invaded by solicitors of all kinds. The ten bungalows, charming and comfortable, have private bathrooms and solid amenities (safe, mosquito nets, fans, small terrace). Beautiful sunny swimming pool flanked by a bar, small restaurant (good cuisine) and massage room. All profits are donated to the NGO Bel Avenir (schooling, support for poor families, respect for the environment...). You can visit the adjoining botanical garden.

The line, of Swiss and Franck, Malagasy, holds this hotel only a few minutes from the city. Ideal for "backpack" travellers and lovers of adventure and discovery.

Beautiful traditional house with comfortable rooms, with a slightly old-fashioned charm. Restaurant with covered terrace. At the time of our visit, Jean-Marie and Holy, the friendly owners, had to leave for other horizons, and the residence was taken over by the family of the Sorafa Hotel in Mananjary. If the menu does not change, do not miss the Bourguignon of zebu and its home-made purée, their specialty; duck breast in all its forms, carbonade of zebu (for Belgian friends) or foie gras with Ratafia of Ambalavao on home-made brioche canapé, just as promising.

Bungalows in local materials with private bathroom, simple but fairly comfortable. They have a superb view of the lake from their private terrace. Resto is a little uneven. All kinds of activities and excursions are possible in the surroundings.

Not expensive and well maintained, a good plan for conscientious budgets in the heart of the city and a few steps from the tourist office.

Darafify is one of the oldest hotels in the city. Located a stone's throw from the beach, it is renowned for its excellent cuisine at good prices. The old bungalows, in a wooded environment, are on the whole decent, all have renovated sanitary facilities and some enjoy a nicer decoration. The new bungalows, completed in 2019, are oceanfront, spacious, modern, comfortable, tastefully designed and decorated. Two more are to follow. Very pleasant restaurant under a straw hut, with a nice little landscaped garden.

This hotel structure offers bungalows from 73 to 93 m ² and villas from 120 to 160 m ² in a large park of 1,6 ha. They are very good comfort, maybe dark. The most expensive ones even have a small private swimming pool! Wood dominates everywhere. Services include a maid per bungalow. A restaurant is available if you don't want to cook at reasonable rates.

A house of about 450 m ² with 5 fully independent rooms of about 35 m ², including two with private terrace of 14 m ² overlooking the garden. All of them have a private bathroom with hot water, a fan, a large, a safe and a mosquito bed. We eat in a large room or in the garden (barbecue available). We appreciate the large equipped kitchen, warm colors, the ethno-chic garden. An ideal rental for many couples with children or group of friends.

Lost between the Pangalanes Canal and the Indian Ocean, about 1 hours from Manambato in a fast boat (3 h from Tamatave), this écolodge is managed directly by a village cooperative and offers, in addition to the accommodation in pleasant bungalow and the services of a restaurant, activities such as the ́ of the village and its essential oil distillery. Sailing in the Drilling t prote ́ ge ́ e de Vohibola, swimming in the Canal des Pangalanes and Lake Ampitabe…. all with the sensation of being lost at the end of the world, at two steps from idyllic and deserted beaches.

Shortly before Joffreville, this atypical address offers simple rooms with small terrace. Meals are taken with the sisters who have a good reception. Their craft shop is well-stocked (liqueurs, honey, crafts…). The hotel was very close to the train station and the train station was very nice.

The name is associated with the service station next door. The comfort is good (private health) but for the charm we will go.

In an ancient canneliers plantation, bungalows in traditional materials offer sufficient comfort, with mosquito nets. Varied and varied catering. 6 rustic bungalows with safari tents, very comfortable, each hosting two comfortable twin beds and external outdoor health care… with hot water. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We generally eat together, but you can ask for a private meal on the beach. Many excursions offered.

This address, in the 9 single rooms but with good value for money, has an important asset: its environment, green, near a river. A little a, a car is required (guarded parking). Besides, we rent, like atvs, and we offer walks in canoe. Catering service.

In a large and beautiful garden garden, on the edge of a wild beach, Marco and Francoise offer 9 colourful double bungalows of 25 m ² and a family bungalow for four. It's typical, and comfortable at a time. Private health with hot water. Bar area, seaside restaurant (fixed menu). The whole is a natural impression that makes the good. All kinds of excursions are organized, including the quad (store), the strong point of the house. Massages are offered. To discover.

Big brother of Orangea Village, this resort inaugurated in 2019, was built on a 15 ha property, on the sea front, with a 6 ha natural salt lake. It consists of 2 buildings: a 3-level unit with 47 doubles of 30 sqmwith sea view and a 2-level unit with 32 rooms of 35 sqm, lake view. The rooms are well-equipped and have a well-facing balcony to make the most of the view. The complex is complemented by an ocean view restaurant, a gym, a 150 m² saltwater pool and 3 massage rooms.

This camp at 1 p. m. west of Iharana has 8 wooden bungalows of 12 m ² (with king size mattresses and mosquito nets) and places for 30 tents (not provided). Renovated health (water available). 

In a beautiful site far from everything, 9 luxury bungalows of 80 m² are nestled on the edge of a wild beach. All are very comfortable, with terrace and refined decoration. We love the open-air shower in a green setting for some and, for the others, the bubbling bath with sea view. A little further back, a ficus tree shelters a two-level cabin: an ideal alternative for lovers or families in Robinson mode. The restaurant focuses on seafood products, but not only. Many activities are proposed. A charming address!

Near the airport, in a sublime site, this establishment is one of our favorites in Nosy Be. Overlooking the beach of Befefika, a tongue of sand bordered by black rocks, Manga Soa has 9 lodges scattered in a luxuriant nature. Built with natural materials, each lodge offers a warm comfort. We love the swimming pool with sea view, we enjoy the restaurant/bar open on the bay and offering a high quality cuisine, but also nautical case, land and sea excursions and massage rooms. The team is attentive and committed to sustainable tourism.

Charming hotel with green, far from the city's tumults. Malagasy Specialties Restaurant (see the beautiful Petrof piano), private chalet, tea room and many activities: bike, tennis, ping-pong, billiards, pool, quad runway… It also offers the full guided tour of the Ambohimanga site from Tana. A very pleasant place. 

The very type of the transit hotel fulfilling its role: 12 rooms divided into 6 modern and original structures on 2 floors. All of them have a parking place. The units are spacious, recent and well maintained. Resto in the room or under a small boats. Some kitchen but not too expensive.

Very central location, so very practical, for this small budget address. It's very simple, but right and we even have a fan! The most expensive rooms all have a small balcony overlooking the street animation (small common balcony for the other rooms). A lot of excursions on the canal, in the day or longer to Manambato. 

The Karibotel establishment, camped on a hillside, offers comfortable accommodation in bungalows for two or four people, with private sanitary facilities, telephone and wifi. Its main asset? The breathtaking panoramic view of the village of Ranomafana and the Namorona River from the restaurant, perched at the top, with its lounge bar and its swimming pool (14 meters by 6): grandiose! The place is to be discovered for a peaceful and contemplative stay. The Karibotel brand has another hotel located in Antananarivo, in the heart of the city.
