The best accommodations Sudan

Room with TV, sanitary and fridge from 70 SDG. Breakfast 2,5 SDG. The best hotel in the centre. Its rooms are clean and some have views of the city or the Thaka mountains. But it is especially from the roof terrace that the panorama deserves to be looked at! Friendly staff. 

Rooms from 50 to 100 SDG. A blue dream set in an old colonial building in length. It's all quiet and lacking in charm. There is even a terrace that serves as a cafeteria in season. The toilets are clean. The staff is friendly. Certainly a good option. The only black point, in its own sense, is quite dark.

Up to $ 100 for privatif in private concrete. In the south of the city centre, close to the khazan (water reserve), the Zénobia offers large rooms and 2-storey bungalows in the form of traditional houses. The whole is clean and friendly, but the night will be spent in dollars…

It is recognisable to its blue building 2 floors south of the souk. The whole is clean and pleasant. 

At the angle of the railway junction, the building is marked by green panels which are incomprehensible to those who do not practise the language of the Koran. The Wadi Sitit is a few dozen metres from the Amer, separated by a cafeteria in particular. The right option for smaller budgets.

2-bed rooms with health care included at least 40 SDG. Despite its engageant name (although it means "prosperous" in Arabic), the Hotel Amer has a lovely charm with balcony rooms around a central courtyard on 2 floors. The whole dominates the bruissantes streets of activities. 

Cheaper than Nasser, but also less committed. It is closer to the souk and the port.

The atmosphere is pleasant and Jamal, the director, speaks English a little. There are two small restaurants and a grocery store next door. If you're a little right, you can get to grips with a bed (the very comfortable traditional angareb, wood and string) outside.

Count 60 SDG at night. Take advantage of the opportunity to stay in the "French", easily visible from the lokanda of the "Lights". The rooms are correct, with bathrooms that are just as good.

Double rooms with all amenities (including breakfast) 75 SDG. The hotel is beautifully located in a renovated old house, surrounded by a garden with a cafeteria. The Continental recalls that the city is, like Kassala, a popular place for young brides. 

Small room with 2 beds 20 SDG. " The lights of the Gezira "is one of the few lokandas of the city. It is located near the Ihsan Café and Hotel Faransawi. Basic in all points of view but acceptable. 

Single room with satellite TV and fridge 150 SDG, double room 225 SDG. The new building on the edge of the railway and facing the Nile was not yet reported by a sign when we visited it (request foundouq year-Nile). It has a good chance of taking a place in the sun by presenting itself as a hotel a range above the others. The presence of a roof terrace, with lamps, makes it possible to think that a restaurant has been provided by the owner.

Single chamber 75 SDG, double 95 SDG. A new hotel all along the railway and stands beyond the souk. The rooms are not huge but remain comfortable, with clean bathroom and TV. On the ground floor there is a cafeteria. The hotel entrance is located behind the left and the reception is on the first floor. A good choice for intermediate budgets.

Single room with external amenities about 30 SDG, with all "comfort" about 50 SDG. Located in the east of the city centre and close to the railway station, the Umm Ouadi Hotel has had better days, but it still offers services corresponding to its rates. The hotel's panoramic roof features a restaurant and views of the Nile.

Spacious rooms from 50 to about 100 SDG. The "palace" (stump) is located in the south of the souk, and therefore in calm. A garden with a few chairs and a little shadow awaits the traveler. A little expensive, but we also pay the framework.

From 30 to 50 SDG at night, depending on the presence (or not) of health that is worth what they are worth. It is also part of Sennar's charm not to have too'chic hotels '. But the entrance is on the ground floor.

Rooms with 2 beds 35 SDG, 3 LITS beds. Breakfast on request. Located at an angle, just metres east of the Raeba, a hotel that is accessed by an outside staircase. At the time of our passage, a TV has perfectly decorated our room, unless you can do more. The common bathrooms are relatively clean.

Maybe the best of its class in town. Between the corniche and the souk, the place is delightful with gardens and a restaurant with a terrace. The suites are, say, expensive, but you can always take a look at them.

The hotel is very close to the sea, but far from the centre. It is comfortable and offers rooms with fridge and satellite. During our passage, the facility was undergoing extensive development work.

A newcomer, all coloured, in front of the Red Sea University. The staff is friendly. The hotel has internet cafes and cafes. 

The hotel is located in the north of the city centre, in a residential area more than the Souk. The rooms are unpretentious but clean. This is an option to consider if the rates are appropriate. 

The building proudly displays its name in large letters on its side wall. The rooms are small but well equipped and comfortable. In front of the hotel is the lokanda Lokanda.

Close to the university, Hotel Saba is located in the heart of a district that offers numerous accommodation opportunities. But even there, it may happen that everything is full.

The Newport is a very pleasant lokanda located in the lively shopping district, close to the central train station and minibuses. It is located in one of the old colonial buildings of the city and offers views of the area. As the Newport is often filled in, it will be noted in the same street but a little further north, the Hotel Cardiff in the same category.

Rather dusty, although engaging with its courtyard, chairs, tables and greenery, the hotel had to have better days. If you are partageux or needy, take the single bed, but the bathrooms are not as they would like.

42 rooms from 200 SDG, with breakfast buffet.

Located on Istiqbalia, opposite the Dama Hotel, the Thaka (in reference to the Montagnes mountains) is a clean and well-organised tourist hotel. The staff were very helpful. The rooms are not huge, but many of them have significant views of the Souk and the rooftops of Khartoum. The value for money is very good.

Count more than 300 SDG at night.

We are now very close to the luxury hotel… At the corner of Qasr Avenues and Abdel Rahman, the former Méridien Hotel, which was very famous in its time, has rediscovered colours since its renovation. In addition to this category, you will be entitled to a swimming pool, sauna and car rental service. 

A brand new establishment, welcome in a neighbourhood where there are very few hotels. It proudly displays a round and blue sign at the intersection of the street with Mek Nimir. The smaller ones are a spa, an underground car park and a terrace of coffee on the roof. Another franchise establishment is located on Rue Street 15.

From 120 to 170 SDG.

From the same class as Faisal, Ghubba or Dubai, this hotel has a name that is difficult to use to request its path in the street (don't pronounce the "KH"). But it remains one of the many options for this type of budget.

Meaning "the dome" in Arabic, the hotel offers rooms equipped with breakfast, ranging from 160 to 200 SDG. 

The Al-Sahara Hotel is unjustly located in front and in the shadow of the Acropolis, in Retrait retreat. The reception is at the end of the double gallery, inside the building. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

More than 250 SDG the single room.

Right in the hotel area, you can say, the Horizon Hotel is a colourful building on the edge of the souk. Rather recent, it offers a quality hotel service for comfortable rooms, but quite expensive. The Horizon is perhaps one of the best in Asia, one of the best in Asia.

Just opposite the Horizon hotel entrance, the quiet Marshal hotel is more discreet. It is next to the Lokandas Et and Wadi Halfa. Set in a beautiful old house in Khartoum, with a terrace in the first and some walls decorated with African frescoes. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Count 30 SDG for a room with 2 beds with separate health.

In the Souk and near the Great mosque, this hotel is ideally located. The animation is guaranteed on the edge of a market place, and there are cafeterias all around. Climb on the floor in the center of the building where the name of the hotel is indicated in English, top right. The staff is very friendly. 

Count more than $ 150 per night.

Between July Hospital and the French Embassy, Hotel Sendyan has more apartments for rent than single rooms. They are all very well equipped, with even a computer!

This hotel on the banks of the Nile, which has become emblematic of the st century Khartoum, is supposed to have a inflated sail shape. The premises gave him the original alias of "egg of Qaddhafi", in reference (to the form, and) to Libyan financing for his construction. The hotel has a conference centre and a superb panoramic restaurant on the top floor, accessible (in theory) for free. The view embraces the confluence and the island of Tuti. As for the rooms, you will have to put the price! If you are curious, a glance does not cost anything. So go on the hotel's website…

The right choice if you have some money to spend wisely and want to find you in the heart of the city, between souk and railway! The rooms are rather large and have fridge (walking) and en suite bathroom. There is even the Internet!

This charming and green hotel is run by a Coptic family. It is possible to take a dinner, if you ask for it gently. The hotel is located east of the city centre. Ask for "foundouq year-Nile".

A little old, this little hotel has surely had a more glorious past. Located on Africa near Street 27, it is the closest hotel to the airport, which is its main interest. It is not far away from the neighbourhood of Riyadh.

Rooms from 100 to 200 SDG, from simple to double.

This hotel, close to the airport (you can pick it up on request), has a fragrance perhaps more typical than others in its category. The decor is a little "tourist", but the whole remains pleasant. The Kasar offers a car rental service as well as traditional administrative services (passport to be registered, travel permits to be obtained…) for rates, however a little higher. 

It would be the only youth hostel across Sudan! Located between the Danish Embassy and the "round" Mek Nimir, it has 80 beds and is part of the international YHA. The ad hoc card is required but, as everywhere, it can be purchased on site for about guinées. A curfew and closing hours in the day complete the classic pattern of other youth hostels approved worldwide. A very good option for smaller groups and budgets!
