El-Ahram Hebdo is published weekly in French by the government-owned El-Ahram Group. On the website or in the paper version, you'll read articles on the major issues facing Egyptian society, as well as on sensitive subjects. Le Progrès égyptien is the other French-language newspaper in Egypt, and also the oldest. Also state-run, it is less thick and in-depth than the former. It has no website. Its paper version provides programs of shows.

Egypt Independent is the English-language sister publication of Al-Masry Al-Youm, Egypt's flagship independent daily newspaper. Born in 2009 as a news website, Egypt Independent provides Egypt and the world with in-depth, quality content on the country's political, economic, social and cultural landscape. In 2011, the year of revolutionary change in Egypt, Egypt Independent launched a weekly print edition that serves as a summary and snapshot of the zeitgeist in Egypt.
