Website of the new Library of Alexandria. Presentation of the permanent collections of its museums and temporary exhibitions, as well as the cultural events on offer. Some of the books in this extraordinary library, the only one of its kind in the world, include two and a half million works in 60 languages. 500,000 of them have been digitized and are available online! Many Western libraries have donated copies of manuscripts. The BA is also a research center for the history of Egypt and the Mediterranean world.
