Jean-Luc and Laurence will give you a warm welcome at the Wildlife Camp, an excellent address. Superb site with a clear view on the Luangwa, at the entrance of the park and close to Mfuwe. Located just outside the park on its western side, this lodge is set back from a small beach in Cameron Bay. The 10 spacious chalets are decorated in the traditional bush lodge style. The campers have all the amenities and are located on the beach. The lodge has a small swimming pool and offers many activities: kayaking, fishing, camping safaris in the Sumbu Park, swimming, snorkeling, and even water-skiing and diving (the only PADI diving center on Lake Tanganyka). Located 12 km (30 minutes) from Chirundu on the Chiawa Road, and on the banks of the Kafue River, Gwabi River Lodge is the starting point for boat transfers to lodges on the Zambezi River, upstream and in the Lower Zambezi NP. We like the carpet with harmonious black and white patterns, the large paintings on the walls and the assortment of cushions and curtains in turquoise, white and mustard. The swimming pool, surrounded by a green environment is pleasant. We appreciate the fitness room, the services and the ultra professional staff of this South African hotel chain. The restaurant's terrace is located at the edge of a pretty basin sheltering small crocodiles. There is also an Irish pub.

This popular and festive backpacker is located in the young and lively city center. Here, families with children are not allowed. They have a bar-resto, a nice swimming pool and relaxation areas with colorful wax cushions. Camping or dormitories are economical, while rooms with shared or private bathrooms are more comfortable, but still affordable. Different levels of comfort exist, the most expensive ones are air-conditioned. Free shuttle to the waterfalls and tours offered at interesting prices.

Located in the heart of the park, this large lodge built over a lagoon offers a panoramic view of hippos, elephants and antelopes drinking here. It is quite simply the most expensive 5-star hotel in the country: the prices are dizzying. There is no doubt that with its elegant colonial style, the big white building with 173 rooms and suites wanted to imitate the mythical Victoria Falls Hotel on the Zimbabwe side. The rooms with a balcony overlooking the Zambezi are elegantly decorated in shades of cream and brown. The hotel offers 2 excellent restaurants and a bar right on the river, ideal for sunset. Isolated, a few kilometers from the city, this lodge is charming. A vehicle is required to get there, but transfers can be arranged. As its name suggests, it is located on a real sandy beach. The facilities include a swimming pool and the place is especially recommended to spend a few days away from civilization. The more expensive rooms were renovated in 2020 and are really nice, in small houses directly on the beach. Sandy Beach also offers boat trips.

This is the main hotel in Kabwe, opened in the 2000s. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with private bathroom, air conditioning, kettle and mini-fridge. The restaurant is correct. We particularly like the green environment of the hotel with its pleasant garden with trees in the heart of the city. It shelters a small swimming pool reserved for the customers of the hotel, it is thus calm the weekend. The prices are really affordable, and it is very practical, right in the center, in front of a supermarket Shoprite, with two secure parking lots.

Located along the last Zambian bay on the lake, this superb private beach is only accessible by boat, in 30 minutes from Mpulungu, or in 5 minutes from Isanga Bay Lodge which is accessible by 4x4. A small Robinson-like paradise consisting of a stone chalet on the hillside and 3 reed bungalows on platforms overlooking the lake. All are simply furnished, but have private bathrooms. Kitchen available. Activities: Kalambo Falls and snorkeling mainly.
