In the inner courtyard, there is still the epitaph to Šimun Kožičić-Benja (1460-1536), the primate of Rijeka who had the first book printed in glagolitic. Read moreIn the maritime part, which borders the mountainous park, a geological curiosity is as much a fjord (50 to 150 m wide) as an arm of the sea. A protected landscape since 1964, this superb site has nearly one kilometre of elaborate banks. These are dominated by chalky cliffs and lead to a quiet bay, where swimming is permitted. To get there, car or two-wheelers are recommended. From Zadar, after Prizna on the E 65, take the road to Jablanac/Uvala Zavratnica on the left. From Stinica (ferry) take the coastal path.

On the second floor, a room preserves the memory of the sculptor Ivan Rendić, a contemporary of the master Ivan Meštrović. Born in 1849 in Imotski, Rendić lived his youth in Brač. After artistic studies in Italy and trips to Zagreb, Trieste and Rijeka, he returned to Supetar. Here the town exhibits some busts, preparatory drawings for the mausoleum of the Petrinović family (municipal cemetery). In the garden, the statue of the Allegory of Pure Reason.
