Read moreFor fans of folk dances, this ensemble was founded in 1964 to promote Croatian dances and songs as well as traditional costumes. The linđo dance is the most popular in the Dubrovnik region and has been danced in the same way for over two hundred years. The dance is accompanied by the lijerica, an old three-stringed instrument native to southern Dalmatia. All year round, the musicians perform at home and abroad, and in summer, they welcome big names from the opera scene. International students should contact the international cooperation office of the higher education institution to which they are applying to try to obtain accommodation. International students taking part in an official exchange program (ERASMUS, CEEPUS or bilateral programs of the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports and the EU Agency for Mobility and Programs) can apply for dormitory accommodation. Rooms in dormitories are generally shared between two people, and bathrooms are shared with one or more other students or rooms. Student dormitories include restaurants, student cafeterias, gyms and many additional social activities. Dormitory prices vary, but they are generally the most affordable housing option.
