THE "BIG FOUNTAIN" DISTRICT (BOLSHOI FONTAN)

By bus No. 127 which leaves from the train station or bus No. 161, we pass through the very nice district named Grande Fontaine, occupied by very nice dacha. When you spend more than four days in Odessa, this neighborhood is a real pleasure to visit. By staying in the bus to the station "16 th station" (16 aya stantsia), you can reach a beautiful monastery built on a course. Attached to the Moscow Patriarchate, this monastery has always played a major role in the seminar. Currently 300 seminarians are studying. You can visit a small church where you will recognize three murals: Annunciation, Visitation and Epiphany. The by the backwash of the sea deafening on the walls of the monastery, this visit is a true moment of peace and serenity.

before the Londonskaya, we pass in front of the Palace of the Sailors who took care of the sailors'distractions. This body of trade had its hour of glory under the USSR, where one third of the population worked in the navy. The Black Sea merchant fleet was based in Odessa and has 300 vessels. To honour this local occupation, a marble staircase in Kara leads to the palace.

MISHKOR AND WASTE

At the foot of Mount Preston-Petri, on the golden beaches of Mishkor stretching over ten kilometres, the forest transforms into a garden of exotic plants. This is the warmest region in the Greater Yalta region. And say, in the 1920 s, that piece of land didn't interest anybody. Today the climatic conditions and quality of sanatoria such as Ukraïna or Sosnova Rosha attract more and more tourists. Here you can visit the beautiful park, but also the Dulber Palace, located in the nearby village of Both. Built in the th century, in honour of Prince Romanov, this palace could serve as a backdrop for a film drawn from the Thousand and One Nights, its Moorish style, palms and fountains make it resemble a Turkish palace. The writer Tolstoy used to stay in this small village. It is also from Mishkor that you can climb at the top of Mount Preston-Petri. One of Europe's most impressive cable cars takes you to a height of 1 200 m for about 2 €. The climb is very steep and the landscape breathtaking once arrived.
