This Italian restaurant is probably not the cheapest in town, but its location on the historic islet, with its terrace on the banks of the Aare, fully explains the prices charged. The wood-fired pizzas are sure to be a hit. Other specialties such as pasta, meat and fish are just as tasty. We recommend that you make a reservation for a riverside seat.

In this family-run restaurant run by the Iacomini brothers, you can sample typical Italian dishes and specialties from Ticino. Everything is delicious and traditionally prepared. Tasty, robust cuisine, like the braised beef with merlot and parmesan risotto, a delight. The setting is superb, from the magnificently tranquil garden and terrace in summer to the dining room and fireplace in winter. We appreciate the conviviality of this place and the friendly staff.

The motto of the Café des Banques is clear: "the establishment is exclusively reserved for epicureans". The menu humorously displays terms belonging to the economic domain to present its French cuisine dishes with an Italian touch. It makes no secret of its orientation towards bank customers. Among the "starter purchases" are pan-fried veal rice, marsala juice and mushroom fricassee. In the "fish and meat holding" the filet féra from Lake Geneva a la plancha. It is a bistro with a pleasant atmosphere.

A strategic location for this crêperie just a stone's throw from St Peter's Cathedral and housed in an old building. One can stop on the pleasant shaded terrace after visiting the remains and cathedral. Choulex is a small picturesque village, very pleasant to cycle along the river. Here we don't cheat with the overrated cuisine. We concoct for you home-made dishes from a traditional French cuisine with Swiss specialties such as perch fillets, a good beef bourguignon, a beef fillet, a malakoff or a mushroom cassolette. During the hunting season, you can enjoy homemade venison terrine or venison tortellini cooked in a fresh porcini sauce. The menu is based on tradition.

Lausanne may not be the most suitable place to enjoy pancakes, but this address is exceptional and the service very pleasant.
