L’EMBUSCADE

Bar and caf
4/5
1 review

Trendy bar of Saint-Louis, where young Saint-Louisians and tourists meet in the evening around a beer. The staff is nice, the atmosphere is friendly and festive, the music is lively. You can also play pool and concerts are regularly organized. Since 2016, the Embuscade has been home to the restaurant Le Réveil run by Mawdo Malick Diop, former chef at Sunu Keur. The menu is quite varied and the Senegalese dishes are well concocted with fresh products. We recommend the chef's specialty, the fricassee of the sea.

L'ÉLYSÉE

Bar and caf
3/5
2 reviews

Located in the heart of the Plateau, not far from the cathedral, the establishment is prized by the Senegalese, French and Lebanese for its delicious pastries and viennoiseries, made locally. We also stop there at lunch time to eat a homemade burger or a hearty dish of the day, suggested during the week. The house also offers delicious smoothies and cocktails made with fresh fruit. With its semi-enclosed terrace, the Elysée offers a bit of calm in the heart of the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Smiling staff and efficient service.

LE SPOUTNIK BAR

Opposite the Flamingo, this long bar is most noticeable for the hustle and bustle outside. The atmosphere is festive, especially on concert evenings, when you'll find yourself in the company of the locals, enjoying a truly warm moment to the frenetic rhythms of Senegalese music. This is where you can listen to Mama Sadio and her orchestra in concert. Her magnificent voice will not leave you indifferent. The evenings go on late into the night, which is why this trendy bar is one of Saint-Louis' leading after-hours venues!

LES PIROGUIERS

Bar and caf

It is a refreshment bar-restaurant located at the end of the road, near the pier, facing the bolong. Frequented by tourists, the place is pleasant to have a drink at the water's edge after a stroll or in the evening, to mark the fall of the day. It is a place where you can eat a generous family cuisine. A Senegalese speciality is honored every day. The menu also offers a variety of dishes such as fried shrimps, grilled fish and beef brochettes. However, some dishes are sometimes missing. Good welcome.
