Thierry and Michelle, the owners, will also introduce you to ready-made dishes, including rillettes, duck foie gras and Caen-style tripe. And for dessert, farmhouse jams, teurgoule, salted butter caramels, gingerbread and honey. For lovers of authentic produce and good food!

Pedagogy, smile, quality and taste are what you will find at the Laitière du Wuy. The greedy gourmets of local flavors will only have the convenience of choosing to fill their shopping cart. Honey, milk, butter, cream or meat, here, everything is produced on the farm, either by the owners, Véronique and Yves Lefebvre, or by the neighboring farmers. The couple also proposes the whole year of farm visits to discover how dairy cows and poultry are raised.

Gourmet friends, once upon a time, the best tripe in France and Navarre! At the end of the Vire, near the keep, the Ruault House has been producing tripe from father to son since 1955. In Calvados or Caen style, tripe can be found in this small shop. Many restaurants have made Ruault tripe one of their emblematic ingredients. And if tripe doesn't make you tripper, the house also concocts excellent terrines and country rillettes.

Since then, the family farm has started to produce other milk sweets: chocolates, berlingots, calvados cream or jams, which have been widely rewarded. The sign is also a splendid place, halfway between a flea market and a farm, in an old farmhouse. You also have a nice tea room, in a carefully thought rustic atmosphere. We love it!

Founded in 1897, Maison Danjou makes genuine andouille sausages, appreciated by connoisseurs. But did you know that the recipe for andouille has not changed - or only slightly - since the Middle Ages? And that it requires several stages: assembly, salting, placing in the smokehouse, then desalting and cooking? Yes, the andouille is to be deserved, you will be told at the store, which also proposes cobblestones of Vire (specialities of the house) and many other specialities of the soil. And if you live far away, don't panic, you'll get your andouille! How do you get it? By ordering by phone!

As soon as you enter this promising little shop, you are torn between the colourful and well-stocked shelves and the smile of the saleswoman. About fifty varieties of jams will make your head spin and countless calvados, as the name of the shop announces, will add to your dizziness. The jams are the work of Dame Rhubarbe, a good fairy who officiates a stone's throw from Honfleur, and who only buys her nectars from local producers. Stop on the flower of salt milk jam, much more subtle than salted butter caramel and definitely divine! Calvados are also more than fifty in number, divided between the Domfront tradition - a blend of pear and apple -, the Pays d'Auge PDOs with double distillation, and the classic and essential single-distillation calvados. From this visit, we keep a sweet taste: we dipped our finger in the jars or almost, and the welcome leaves a smile on our lips.

You will find, here, a beautiful range of local gastronomy. Between land and sea, you will make a lot of discoveries as your basket fills up. But the Normans are not chauvinistic. In this shop, you will also find oils, teas, jams, fish soups. And that's not all. Jean-Yves took over the store a year ago (after rolling his boss at Coutances, Cherbourg and Bayeux) and actively dedicated himself to presenting the fruits of local know-how. His face is not unknown to you? Of course, he is the former Restaurant of La Pin d'Argent. The timing of cooking, the overheating buds, the impatient customer demand, prompted him to turn the page. Now he spends his job of relaxing time to find this and there are stellar coastal products known by mouth. Here, large and small are at the party. What's more, free tastings are offered to visitors. In addition to cider production, Ferme du Lavoir also offers a motorhome park in the middle of the orchards. Visitors can enjoy an exceptional setting, just three kilometers from the D-Day landing beaches at Omaha Beach.

In the heart of old Honfleur, this charming boutique offers local products from Normandy only and selected directly from producers. You can discover its ceiling decorated with kitchen utensils and of course, the major brands of the region.

No, the southwest has no monopoly on foie gras! Christophe Infant, producer in Brosville, a village on the banks of the Iton, proposes direct sale at the farm of his fatty livers, breasts, rillettes, candied, and poultry (chickens, guinea fowl, ducks, capons, and roasted geese). He also manufactures a wide range of cooked dishes in an artisanal way: duck legs with ingots, lentils or chasseur sauce, neck stuffed with duck foie gras… 100% tradition, 100% local. Guided tours of the operation are available for groups.

Good news! Ferme du Bec d'Or has opened a grocery store in Manneville-la-Pipard, near the town hall. Farmers for four generations in Orbec (a predestined name!), the Soetaert family raises free-range poultry. Chickens, turkeys, guinea fowl, ducklings, capons and hens thrive in 4 hectares of orchards. In addition to farmhouse poultry at good prices, the site offers a selection of products (delicatessen, cheeses, wines, spirits) from passionate producers. And every Sunday, don't miss the chicken roasted on site with roasted potatoes!
