TSUNAGARI TAÏKO CENTER
Read moreTsunagari means "link" in Japanese. Tsunagari organizes, from Tuesday to Saturday, awa dance classes for adults and children (it's also possible to come with family) and traditional drum classes (taïko). All this is closely related because the taïko is a drum carved in the trunk of a keyaki (Caucase elm) which by the strength, the resonance and the power of the sounds it produces makes the whole body and also the soul vibrate. Its practice extends far beyond the boundaries of musical learning since it develops vitality, well-being, suppleness… It should be said that Tsunagari Taïko Center advocates the ancestral principle of the anchor named hara, which tends to manage energy at the pelvis level. As for awa or awa-odori dance, it is danced to the rhythm of the taïkos. It is a dance that is more than 400 years practiced by all during the celebrations to the ancestors, it is joyful and simple, it is also called the dance of the crazy. This folk dance is emblematic of the great festival of Tokushima and allows to welcome the souls of the Day of the dead in July-August. Classes are taught by Ayuko Yonemura, who has practised the dance and the music since childhood, when it comes to Cola Bonnan, he has a strong experience of taïkos in France and in Japan, and longs for creating a better world for men and their environment. Tsunagari Taïko Center also offers, in addition to courses, conferences, discovery workshops for children and adults, indoor or outdoor concerts, as well as weekend training courses in Paris or in the provinces.
