INTERNATIONAL MEDIUM FILM MEETINGS

They are supported by many partners (the City, the Department, the Limousin Region, the Ministry of Culture (DRAC), the CNC, as well as by private companies. A unique festival in Europe to be entirely devoted to the free format of the medium film (length between 30 and 60 minutes), the event aims to promote exchanges between the public and professionals around a very varied programming: more than one hundred projections, a competition of recent films, tributes, school programming, round tables, a film concert, but also public-teams meetings around an aperitif, educational workshops in the image, debates of rare works… Time of thematic and Retrospective is also very popular with the public: previously devoted to Olivera Manuel or Peter Watkins, Agnès Varda or Japanese filmmaker Koji Wakamatsu, in 2016 Chantal Akerman and Apichatpong Weerasethakul were in Honour.

TRAVELLING - RENNES
Read more20 years! Travelling has reached adulthood: a longevity and a success (almost 45 000 entries for previous editions) that would not have dared to imagine Hussam Hindi and Eric Gouzannet, co-founders of the festival and the association organizing it, Clair Arcane, the main actor of the reindeer rennes. Each winter, in January-February, the festival invests the film theatres in Rennes and its periphery around a theme - unique: the city. The 20-year special edition was devoted to Jerusalem (with Israeli and Palestinian films), but also to Dublin, New York, Helsinki, Buenos Aires, Algiers, Cairo, Tokyo. Students and film fans invest rooms that are always full, to discover filmmakers, safe or classic values of film heritage. If a festival dedicated to the city of Martin Scorsese or Japanese cinema, one of the best in the world, seems to be obvious, cities less known for their cinema culture book excellent surprises, and that's the great wealth of Travelling.
