Small coffee, right next to Killiwatch, in the stylish shopping area. Attended by a whole bunch of very connected people who find themselves here before going out, Le Café could be terribly unbearable and enough to see me. And not at all. For over 60 years, smokers of all species have been in the Old port bar. It is known for two reasons: open in the evening, you can buy cigarettes until 22 p. m. in the winter and much later in summer. An indoor space on the floor is reserved for the tobacco addicts. Drink a café on the terrace, order a bakery or a sandwich all day, buy an ice, find together support the Olympique de Marseille in front of the giant screen are the additional proposals of this smoking bar not like the others. Fans of New Order, Franz Ferdinand, The Rapture, you are here at home. Two rooms separated by the bar are the place. On the entrance side, we're standing up around the bar or sitting in front of the projections of the day, in the middle of a large proportion of the regulars, pretty young and lookés pop. A very simple place, ideal for eating simple, quickly and at a lower cost: those who are on the west side of the park, towards the Porte de la Villette, have an excellent compromise here. Inside, an astonishing wall on which contemporary paintings have been placed, very many places inside, a large part of them with comfortable black leather armchairs: that's the setting. Concerning the meal, eclecticism: pizzas, burgers, pastas, meats and fish are offered via a very wide menu. The service is fast, often smiling. We don't come here to find a gastro, but effective: mission accomplished!

Gone is the Galand brasserie tearoom, hello Mimoza and its appetizing green front. Pastry chef Sylvain Guesdon has just taken over the establishment, renaming it Mimoza after the mimosa egg. Simple and effective! The soul of the patisserie lives on, as Mr. Galand has passed on his recipes to the new head pastry chef. Upstairs, the seminar area is transformed into an atmospheric bar from Wednesday to Sunday evenings, with platters and cocktails. On Rue de Bolton, Mimoza has reserved a space for takeaway sandwiches. The new owner, who already runs three bakeries, knows his stuff when it comes to sandwiches...

La Biérothèque has a very big plan: over three hundred beer references, eleven taps and a room for up to one hundred and sixty people. Alongside brown and blond beers, wines and spirits, you can look forward to an evening of discovery and tasting. And don't worry, you can enjoy the experience without counting the cost: the metro's not far away! Try a blond with the evocative name Méfons-nous des escargots, or opt for the more rustic Une queue de charrue ambrée. The Galeries Gourmandes, a department store located in the heart of Bagnères-de-Luchon, is a must. We like the "rustic chic" setting and the friendly atmosphere of the first floor. We can meet to eat cheese and charcuterie plates, around a glass of wine (nice menu), or we can prefer to settle down on the second floor in a more lounge atmosphere and choose a dish from the menu: confit of pig's breast, very perfumed Mikado sea bream, razor clams or chipirons... Something to satisfy all palates!

What we love about this bar is first and foremost its clandestine side - don't we say "Prohibition is back" here? You pass through a pizzeria and push open a heavy cold-storage door. The only thing missing behind it is Al Capone in Prohibition times. Set to jazzy tunes and 1930s decor, you'll ogle the menu with its 85 whiskies and beers, but above all for its cocktails, skilfully crafted by Pedro, Pasa, Danilo, Matteo, Martin, Valentin and Max. The perfect way to celebrate your discovery of this very special place.

This bar is specialized in rum. When you enter, you will be delighted to be welcomed by a friendly team. No doubt, Biggy, Julien and all the staff are passionate! Notice to the amateurs of this famous brandy, here it is in the heart of the party. The "tasting" formula allows you to choose 2cl glasses to test different varieties. Biggy, the king of cocktails, prepares in front of you some specialities based on fresh fruits, rum or vodka. The success always having a small reverse, the lack of place is sometimes palpable.
