A concert hall dedicated to contemporary music in Metz, the Boîte à Musiques (BAM), which can accommodate up to 1,115 people, is located in the heart of the Metz-Borny district. A modular venue, it also has a balcony that can accommodate 300 people. Its large, bright hall and its astonishing openings to the outside make it a unique and remarkable venue with architecture by Rudy Ricciotti. The programming is eclectic and open to all genres, from jazz to experimental, from reggae to world music... On concert evenings you can enjoy a drink at the BAM bar. As part of the "Metz en Scènes" project, BAM also supports the musicians and project leaders in their initiatives, and provides them with administrative and artistic support, including three rehearsal studios and a 100-seat stage area. This old lady, looking like a Chinese pagoda, has been indefatigable for 150 years. The rounded concert hall, lined with small round tables and red stools, also doubles as a dancefloor. The Bataclan offers an eclectic program and a wide range of evening events. It has long been a mecca for concerts, dancing, joy and laughter. Following the tragic events of 2015, the Bataclan underwent extensive renovation, proving that life goes on, and has resumed its programming with unfailing zest.

Located at the heart of the Bouchayer-Viallet site, La Belle Électrique is housed in a magnificent wood and glass building. The venue places artists and audiences on the same level, immersing them in an intimacy that heightens the sensations. A place to live and create, where artists can be accompanied. Wood chiselled everywhere, red velvet, bevelled mirrors... and a ballroom floor where it is so good to dance! The Cabaret Sauvage is the offspring of the Magic Mirrors, which occupied the same venue in the Parc de La Villette for a while. The Cabaret Sauvage hosts artists from all musical backgrounds, with a predilection for rock, reggae, jazz and chanson. If Goran Bregovic, Khaled, Keren Ann, M, Bratsch, Les Wampas, PJ Harvey or Arno have played here, it is not by chance.

Now emblematic of Brest, this space welcomes both local and internationally renowned artists. With its two concert halls, a bar open during coffee-concerts, a MAO recording studio and 6 rehearsal studios, this complex is a unique venue with exceptional acoustics. But La Carène also offers concerts for young audiences, musical challenges, artists in residence and workshop proposals. Le Bijou celebrated its 35th birthday. There's no need to introduce this totally independent Toulouse concert venue, which is dedicated to unearthing new talent, the "not yet known", the little Toulousans, in the field of contemporary music (jazz, French chanson, rock, world music...). Located in the back room of a small neighborhood bistro serving a menu renewed daily with fresh produce from the local market, it has retained all its freshness and remains a place like no other, with an atmosphere always tinged with good-naturedness. L'Espace des Arts, well known to the people of Chalonnais, has been a Scène nationale since 2006. Recently renovated and enlarged to provide better conditions for artists in residence and audiences, the venue offers a rich cultural program all year round, in its comfortable 850-seat auditorium or in other venues. Dance, theater, concerts, circus and children's shows are usually sold out. A bar and restaurant area is open one hour before and after each performance, but it's best to arrive early.

The Cargö has very quickly become the place to be for fans of contemporary music. Its eclectic program, mixing regional, national and even international artists, reaches a demanding public. L'Autre Canal is the reference venue for contemporary music in Nancy. Created in 2007, this building with its bright red modern architecture is recognizable among thousands. The programming is very eclectic and for all ages. There are even shows for young children! With a large hall and a smaller one that can be used simultaneously, as well as workshops and studio rentals for budding artists, L'Autre Canal is a true music center that helps the idols of tomorrow to progress with the help of recognized professionals.

Inaugurated in 2007, the Carat Space is the largest modular exhibition structure in the Charente. This sweet giant welcomes in the two large ruby and sapphire rooms (4 500 and 1 000 square metres with a capacity of 7 000 seats on the concert days) all major events or shows organised in the Charente: fairs, forums, congresses and sporting events, but also the most important concerts. The rooms are adapted to all projects. Easy access via the ring road is via the STGA bus network.

Located near the campus and the Grillenbreit district, the Grillen is the contemporary music hall managed by the city of Colmar since 1998. Its capacity does not exceed 350 seats, the concerts remain intimate, far from the zeniths and the gigantic and impersonal halls. All musical styles are represented: pop, rock, punk, soul, metal, hardcore, garage, electro, experimental, rap, blues... Teachers from the conservatory also come to perform there and the hall is open to all associations wishing to organise alternative and festive evenings (notably Live!, After Dark, Hiéro Colmar, Hopla! Zone 51...) The Grillen also puts two rehearsal studios at the disposal of local bands who regularly have the opportunity to showcase their talent during opening acts. Be careful, don't arrive too late on concert evenings as the seats are free (and standing). To preserve your ears, Le Grillen provides earplugs and, in the interest of ecology, the bar's cups are consigned. Le Grillen also hosts very friendly improvisation match evenings and other events such as the jazz off festival. All you have to do is enjoy the concerts, massed in the crowd or in the adjoining bar!
