THE BLARNEY STONE

Pub
4.5/5

Barney's stone would be embedded in the castle tower of the same name and would allow him to embrace the gift of eloquence. The Victor Hugo lecture is named after this beautiful Irish legend. A large indoor room and a terrace await you at any time of the day to enjoy a drink or to eat some of the country's specialities. Will you taste beef pie and onions to Guinness or the famous Fish & Chips, then a slice of cheese cake? To start the day, we recommend the Full Irish Breakfast, a rich breakfast made of sausages, bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, white beans, breads of toasté and fries! The Blarney Stone also offers a few recipes of stuffed potatoes, a selection of hamburgers, giant salads and sandwiches. Beer is at the pressure or in bottles, in a pint or a pitcher for the grandes. The pub offers retransmissions of football or rugby matches on large screen. Don't forget to order the bar before you install and enjoy your pint of Guinness!

In the heart of Bordeaux, you'll find this cheerful, festive spirit in an authentic Irish establishment that has been on the quayside since 2004. At any time of day, you can enjoy a good suds: Molly Malone's (a soft blonde with character), Guinness (a dark stout), O'Haras Irish Red, O'Haras IPA, Carlsberg or even white Grimbergen. Your main accessory to come here will be a pair of sunglasses, since in Sables-d'Olonne, the comet's passage can be observed all year long. In the heart of the embankment of Sables-d'Olonne, the large and beautiful terrace facing the sea attracts. One comes there to have breakfast or coffee with a newspaper in hand, a refreshment in the afternoon, or to nibble for lunch and dinner, facing the ocean while perfecting one's tan. La Comète has a contemporary look with dominant gray and turquoise colors, recalling the colors of the ocean.

You have to go to Café Oz for what it is, i.e, a great and easily accessible Australian pub. You can drink a pint of beer, watch a game on the giant screens, enjoy the typical wooded decoration of the pubs and a festive atmosphere. Careful, we don't come here for a romantic appointment, or a secret discussion. We come here with friends, for evenings enjoying alcoholic drinks, afterworks or holidays. Please note that Café Oz is also a chain: there are several establishments of the same name in Paris, often crowded on weekends.

The Art Scene is above all a nice place where James has created a very friendly atmosphere. A bistro but also a place for meetings, exchanges and culture. "The only bar where you can arrive alone without feeling alcoholic! "The bar, all in length, is quite small, but the terrace on the rue du Château, allows you to chat before and after the shows. In the back room, a stage hosts more than eclectic artistic activities: acoustic concerts, exhibitions, slam, stories, theatre, improvisations and many more. A place to discover and meet people over a beer, such as a Bouffay beer, or a glass of wine, accompanied, for example, by a plate of sausage. An ideal place for a cultural aperitif.

Also, the cultural project of the city of Avermes reveals each year a little more. At the Green Parrot, there is no time for chatter. And even less so for snacks that tickle the stomach, whether you are in the morning or in the evening, at lunchtime or in the afternoon. It is one of the must-see places in the Norman port! Warm atmosphere, cosy decor for a refreshing breakfast around a bacon egg or a jazzy brunch (no less than 8 formulas available). Do you prefer oysters and beef tartare? That doesn't matter. Aperitif plates, beers (a very wide choice with no less than 60 varieties, it is their specialty) and other cocktails give colour to even the greyest person at the chosen time. There is no time for the timid and even less time to land there, looking at the boats of the Honfleur basin and the colours of the most pampered and romantic Norman ports. Are you plugged in? Yes, but warmly, uninhibitedly and at a reasonable price, all in all, from the brewery to the cocktail bar.

Located in the area of Paris with the most significant changes in recent years, the last-born of the UGC range is open since October at the very location of the former Claude Bernard Hospital, closed in the 1990 s. In years, it's a quarter that has literally transformed itself from the state of wasteland to the very popular place of life. It was therefore normal for a UGC cinema to come into this relatively dépourvu place. With 14 rooms and more than 2 800 seats, the place is a large area covered with a fine metal jacket giving it a chic and sober appearance. And the actors did not get there because, in a few months, dozens of poster heads came to present their works. Test this movie, you won't be disappointed!

THÉÂTRE DU PALAIS-ROYAL

Theater
4.3/5
3 reviews

The room itself is already a show. Trained in Italian, with about 800 places, it shines a thousand éclats. The th century atmosphere dominates and enchants. It is a jewel in a historic area. The Royal Palace, where it is located, began to be built by the will of the Cardinal of Richelieu. He then called himself the Cardinal Palace. The theatre was built in 1784 in this area, which became property of Philippe d'Orléans. The architect is Victor Louis, who expands the room in 1791. He then took the name of his director, Miss Montansier, an important woman in the middle of this period. In 1831, a famous comedian named Dormeuil took over. The place was named at the Palais-Royal theatre. They play vaudevilles. There were many pieces of Eugène Labiche - Embrace-us Folleville, the Straw hat of Italy… -, Parisian Life, Meilhac, Halévy and Offenbach… In the 1960 s, the comic vein irrigates again and again this room - Achard, Roussin, Dorin… In 1973 stands here the first of La Cage aux folles, Jean Poiret with the author and Michel Serrault. It is a historic triumph, which, elsewhere, will last until 1979! There will then be other successes, including Merry Easter, the same Poiret with Maria Pacôme and Nicole Calfan - from 1980 to 1983 - or the shows of the Unknown and the Quartet. A real palace of laughter royal!

In the heart of the town centre of Toulon this historic monument was built by architect Léon Feuchère and inaugurated in 1862. There are two entrances, one on the boulevard of Strasbourg, dominated by the six muses of the sculptor Marius Mountain, the other on the Victor Hugo square, commonly known as the place de l'Opéra. In addition to the majestic portico and columns, two allegorical statues represent Comedy and Lyric poetry, performed by another Toulon sculptor, Louis-Joseph Daumas.

Entering the opera gives the impression of entering a sacred temple of Art! Inside, everything is gilded, garnet velvet and sculptures… Top point of the main hall, the ceiling painted by Jean-Louis Duveau. The spectator was projected at Classic time in the midst of all these colorful decorations. For music lovers, this opera has exceptional acoustics!

The Smart is the chameleon of dijonnaise animation. Indeed, not only is it an excellent table and evening where the kitchen is fully made home, as evidenced by its label as Master Restaurant, but it is also an atmosphere bar and a discotheque. A complete establishment that looks at every client, regardless of age and state of mind. Even the interior decoration is half way between several styles: Stone walls, chandeliers and stone columns are accompanied by zébrés bar stools and contemporary art paintings. All the personality of Smart is summarized in this original atmosphere. Between the ground floor and the basement, you sail from one atmosphere to another. Cabaret evenings and concerts in clubbing evenings during which the Djs ignite the track with the tubes from 1980 to 2000, there is only one staircase. You can dance, drink a glass of good local wine on the map, enjoy a concert, you wiggle… everything depends on your desire of the moment. For those who would like to organize a private event, Smart also offers its turnkey privatization offers. Unavoidable!

The mythical Studio 28 continues to scintillate at the top of Montmartre. This independent cinema hall is designed to be «art and trial room and neighborhood». And this is a successful bet. Full-on electro and 3D digital projo ensure the show. The venue can be privatized and even transformed into a 300-seat cinema...
