LA CAVE D'ERNEST
Read moreHere, cheese is a passion! On a charming street in Barjac, under vaulted stone ceilings, this newly-acquired little establishment serves up absolutely perfect raclettes and Savoyard fondues all winter long. The fondues, plain or with porcini mushrooms, are just spicy enough to please all tastes. The raclettes are traditional and delight the whole table. Ravioles are also served in summer, while the menu moves on to tartines, planks and gourmet plates, to share or not on the terrace with good local beers.

LE MONCHU
Read moreTo call his restaurant "Le Touriste", even in Savoyard dialect, it was necessary to dare! After all, why not. The promise to enjoy a fondue, Raclette, brasérade and other mountain specialties with the light of a wood fire and the heart of the village recommends to relaxation. Unless you do not lean for a whitefish fillet Lake Geneva, with power of tartiflette here. The decor, entirely made up of trinkets recovered in a chamonix farmhouse in xviiie siècle dish in any case in the atmosphere. Batch, unfortunately, by the unpredictable hospitality of the owners. Raclette arrive and you can only be on your hunger: the cheese amount is reduced to the adequate portion and potatos, absent. The same for the meat, rather limited and outright dryer. For the price, you better wait. At least you will learn a word from savoy.

Read moreA Troll in the mountains is the sweetest, sweetest and most gourmet thing in the world! The Troll Gourmand invites us to its well exposed terrace opening onto a magical mountain setting to enjoy the joy of being in the Maurienne. If it is too cold, if it is snowing or if the night has already fallen, everyone finds refuge in a warm room with the Troll's chef, Denis (a passionate restaurant owner), and the charming Brigitte to serve us with a smile. Beautiful traditional cuisine made from Savoyard local products, fresh and quality products, such as the butcher's meat for a gallows to reserve, the cheeses of the Dairy Cooperative, real vegetables peeled on site, the bread of the baker in the resort... A pleasant cuisine to share in a friendly atmosphere. Some suggestions to whet your appetite with a duck breast and sauces of your choice, including a blueberry or salted butter caramel topped with... Not to mention the homemade burger, available in several versions and rightly renowned in the resort. Regional specialities with a famous Fondue au beaufort et cèpes, Savoyard sausages and homemade desserts: chocolate mousse, floating islands, crème brûlée, tiramisu or a pineapple crumble with red fruit coulis. A Troll that enchants us in both winter and summer.
