Arrival in Cairo

As soon as you arrive in Cairo, the adventure begins with a warm welcome and transfer to your hotel. The Egyptian capital reveals its contrasts between modernity and ancient heritage. Make the most of your first evening to relax or watch the lights of the city that never sleeps from your hotel. Cairo is a lively introduction, where the hustle and bustle of the streets and the warmth of the people set the tone for a trip that will leave a lasting impression on the whole family. Every moment becomes a promise of captivating discoveries and shared stories.

Saqqarah and the Pyramids of Giza

Steps: Plateau De Guiza

The day begins with an excursion to Saqqara, an exceptional site that is home to the Step Pyramid of Djoser, a pioneer of monumental architecture. The mystical atmosphere of the place, between golden desert and immense ruins, stimulates the imagination and brings to life the stories of the pharaohs. An educational and captivating day out, ideal for arousing children's curiosity and fostering a passion for history.

Lunch at the restaurant

The Giza Plateau in the afternoon. Faced with the colossal pyramids of Cheops, Khephren and Mykerinos, the emotion is immediate. The Sphinx stands silently guard, a mysterious figure that has amazed every generation.

Day 3

The New Great Museum of Egypt and Old Cairo

After breakfast a cultural visit to the New Great Museum, the largest and richest in the world, with its modern architectural form and its contents of ancient Egyptian treasures dating back 7000 years.

Lunch at the restaurant.

Visit to Old Cairo, either the Islamic Quarter or the Coptic Quarter, according to your choice.

Luxor and Karnak temple

the majestic temple of Karnak opens its doors to you. Its monumental colonnades and imposing statues form a setting that fascinates and impresses all ages. Each stone tells a story that goes back thousands of years, revealing Egyptian ingenuity in all its splendour. Luxor Temple, nicknamed an open-air museum, captivates visitors with its unique charm, where tradition and vestiges intertwine. After this visit, make yourself comfortable in your hotel and let the magic of the city envelop you. It's the perfect introduction to the kingdom of the Pharaohs.

Valley of the Kings, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Temple of Ramses 3 and the Colossi of Memnon

Steps: Louxor

Luxor's west bank is home to timeless wonders. Start with the Colossi of Memnon, imposing stone guardians. Then explore the Valley of the Kings, a necropolis where the painted tombs of the pharaohs reveal dazzling frescoes. The temple of Hatshepsut, a masterpiece carved into the cliff, bears witness to the power of a daring queen. Then the temple of Ramses 3 dates back to 1150 BC.

Boarding your dahabieh

Steps: Esna

At the end of the morning, we set off towards Esna to join the Dahabia, a sailing boat, where the crew will give you a warm welcome, have lunch on board and start sailing along the Nile to enjoy the scenery and the sunset, docking at El-Hegz, dinner and overnight on board

El-Kab , Edfu and Ramadi

Steps: Edfou

After breakfast, you'll head out to visit El Kab, a fascinating site that is still relatively uncommon. Take a stroll through the rock tombs and ancient walls that bear witness to Egypt's military history.


sailing then resumes towards Edfu where you will visit the temple of God Horus, one of the best preserved sanctuaries in Egypt. Sailing on to Ramadi, dinner and overnight on board.


Wake up on the banks of the Nile and set off for a pleasant walk in Ramadi. Here, agricultural life is in full swing, with fields of alfalfa, sugar cane and date palms stretching as far as the eye can see. Local families share a warm smile, offering an authentic glimpse of everyday Egyptian life. After a convivial lunch on board, we head for Bassaw, a charming village that has remained timeless. Its peaceful lanes, palm trees and mud houses create a picturesque backdrop, perfect for a family outing. In the evening, enjoy dinner under the stars, to the peaceful rhythm of the Nile.

Day 8

Bassaw Island, Gebel Silsila and Maniha

After breakfast, sail to Bassaw Island, a charming, timeless village. Here, agricultural life is in full swing, with alfalfa fields, mango and date palms stretching as far as the eye can see. Local families share a warm smile, offering an authentic glimpse of everyday Egyptian life. Afternoon stopover at Gebel Silsila, the largest sandstone quarry from the Pharaonic era. Walk among the remains, discover the thousand-year-old inscriptions and imagine the craftsmen cutting the blocks to build the temples of Luxor and Karnak. Continue sailing to Maniha, dinner and overnight on board.

Kom Ombo and Aswan

Steps: Kôm-Ombo

After breakfast, continue on to Kom Ombo, a unique temple dedicated to two deities: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god. This perfectly symmetrical sanctuary is as fascinating for its architecture as for its museum housing real crocodile mummies. Return to the boat and sail to Aswan, lunch during the sail, enjoy the last sunset, arriving in Aswan in the late afternoon.

Aswan, Philae temple and High Dam

Steps: Assouan

Today's journey takes you to Aswan, one of the most beautiful cities in Upper Egypt. After a hearty breakfast, set off to discover the temple of Philae, a jewel set on a green island and dedicated to the goddess Isis. Its elegant columns and refined frescoes create a romantic and magical atmosphere. Then it's on to the High Dam, a feat of modern engineering that has shaped the landscape around the vast Lake Nasser. The panorama from the top is spectacular. Between Pharaonic heritage and contemporary achievements, this day illustrates the duality of an Egypt that is eternally alive.

Back to

Steps: Assouan

After a final breakfast, it's time to say goodbye to Egypt. Depending on your flight or train, there will be an organised transfer to Aswan airport or station. This 11-day family trip will have been a real immersion in the history, culture and natural beauty of the Nile Valley. You'll leave with your eyes filled with majestic images, your heart enriched by warm encounters and your luggage laden with unique memories. A journey designed to unite generations and create unforgettable moments that will remain with you long after your return.
