Stay : Nosy Be, the pleasure of the islands

Pearl of the Indian Ocean, Nosy Be can deserve to be exclusively dedicated its week in Madagascar thanks to its beaches, its seabeds and its interior walks. Especially since "l'île aux parfums" is surrounded by charming little neighbours. With your feet in the sand, care should be taken to avoid taking water during the rainy season, which runs here from November to March.

  • Hell-Ville – Andoany
  • Nosy Tanikely
  • Nosy Iranja

Day 1: Tananarive-Nosy Be

Steps: Hell-Ville - Andoany, Andilana

Direct flight to Nosy Be from Tananarive (1h30). Once you arrive at Fascène airport, you can take a trip to Hell-Ville, the archipelago's capital, to stroll around the old port, or head directly to Ambatokala or Andilana to pack your bags and enjoy the island's most beautiful beaches

Day 2: Nosy Be

Steps: Hell-Ville - Andoany

In Nosy Be, there are beaches, of course, but it is also possible to have a good time by visiting a ylang-ylang distillery (a tree whose flower is used in perfumery, hence the nickname "the island of perfumes") or by wandering in the natural reserve of Lokobe, in the southeast of the island, to meet lemurs, chameleons and large reptiles.

Day 3: Nosy Tanikely

Steps: Nosy Tanikely

One hour by boat from Nosy Be is Nosy Tanikely Island, a kind of giant aquarium for snorkeling or diving. The coral reef is populated by turtles, clownfish, groupers, barracudas and other morays frolicking in bright water. The beaches are an invitation to swim. No accommodation on site

Day 4: Nosy Komba

Day trip to Nosy Komba Island, the closest neighbour of Nosy Be. No roads or cars here, but a thick forest and a village of fishermen and embroidery sellers. There is also a magnificent observation area for makis, a black lemur whose ringed tail is as big as its head. Possibility to sleep on site.

Day 5: Nosy Iranja

Steps: Nosy Iranja

The day trip takes us less than two hours by boat to Nosy Iranja, nicknamed "Turtle Island" because it is here that they like to lay their eggs at night. Iranja is divided into two islets separated by a long strip of white sand. On one side, a lush vegetation and on the other a huge beach bathed in transparent water. Paradise on Earth.

Day 6: Nosy Be-Tananarive

Transfer to Nosy Be airport and direct flight to Tananarive (1h30). Once back in the Malagasy capital, visit the Andravoahangy market, northeast of the city centre, and the Analakely covered market in the lower town to fill up with souvenirs before returning. Last night in Tananarive

Day 7: Tananarive

Return flight by taking advantage of the artisan market of the Dyke on the airport road.
