Just a stone's throw from the station, but off the busy Queens Road, The Evening Star is one of Brighton's most popular pubs for fans of real ales. The birthplace of the Dark Star Brewing Co, the bar features several of its products, as well as a variety of beers from the rest of the country and even the world. There isn't much room, which contributes to the warm atmosphere in this all-wood decor. The Evening Star is a must for a pint in Brighton after a day of sightseeing.

Under the station's arcades, the little Green Door Store boasts a cutting-edge music program, with good DJs. Comprising a bar area and a room with a stage, it's a fairly intimate but popular address, which has built up a loyal following of music lovers since it opened in 2011. It offers up to 10 events a week, so there's something for everyone. As a result, it's always a good place to spend an evening, especially as the Green Door has the great advantage of offering free admission most of the time.

Located next door to John's College, the pub's profits are used in part to help students finance their studies. So you can drink your beers with a clear conscience, knowing that you're contributing to the education of local students. It has all the makings of a good local, where conversation and socializing take precedence over music and entertainment. The decor is traditional, within ^17th-century walls, and the beers change regularly, always from the south-west of England. The atmosphere is warm and inviting.

If you're looking to get out and about in Brighton, this corner building with its brightly-colored walls is home to one of the best pubs in the London Road area. Popular with students, its huge, award-winning beer garden is a delight to behold, and the outdoor heaters mean you can enjoy it even in winter. Inside, a number of tables with arcade games add to the Brighton atmosphere. Among others, Hobgoblin offers the "Bewilder Box" escape game, an interactive game based on solving puzzles and mysteries (for 2 people minimum).

A cosy pub on the north side of North Laine, The White Rabbit is a city institution, a great place to relax and chat over a beer during the day, or meet up with friends for an evening out. The terrace on Kensington Gardens, in the heart of the district, is popular in fine weather, and there are also a few armchairs and sofas indoors. A typical small place frequented by regulars and local residents, the Hop Poles is worth a visit for its atmosphere of a real neighbourhood pub. It is the very image of the English pub that you have in mind when planning your trip. The room with its panelled walls and green tapestry is complemented by a beer garden to get some fresh air. The food is quite famous, there are some real ales at the counter and live bands often perform live. In short, everything you need to have a good evening in Brighton.

Opened in 1568 (!), it's Brighton's oldest working bar! The East Street Tap now draws its inspiration from New York and has made craft beers its specialty in Brighton. With its extensive opening hours, it attracts an enthusiastic clientele in search of good beers and variety, from the UK and the USA. At night, the place is lit only by small red neon lights, giving it the air of an American Prohibition-era speakeasy. DJ evenings and concerts are often organized.

The Craft Beer Co is a Brighton beer mecca, this beige and brown corner house housing a pub that has nothing left to prove in the city. The vast choice of real ales, draughts and ciders is always changing, and fans will always be delighted. The predominantly wood interior is cosy, and the location of this Hove establishment is only a few steps from the Brighton Beer Dispensary, which makes for an excellent little pub crawl, as the two addresses are very complementary.

This is one of Oxford's oldest pubs. After all, it's been a public house since the ^16th century! Local legend has it that Shakespeare was a regular visitor to the university town. The establishment has changed name and been reconfigured several times over the centuries, but has a palpable soul. The Dome is the city's largest and most famous cultural venue. It comprises three different performance venues: The Corn Exchange, The Studio Theatre and The Concert Hall. It can accommodate up to 2,500 people in one of its halls. On the program: plays, concerts, stand-up comedy... It's the ideal place to spend a cultural evening if you're passing through Brighton, as the program is very varied and you'll always find something interesting to see. The atmosphere is always excellent.

A friendly, independent cinema with a beautiful Art Deco façade, just the way we like it! In fact, it's Oxford's first independent cinema. A cinema has existed on this site since 1911. Although it's a small cinema, it offers a rich program of arthouse films, classics, foreign films, retrospectives, popcorn and cinephile get-togethers... In fact, it's the only cinema in town where you can see foreign films. The Ultimate Picture Palace is a cultural landmark in the region.

Here, you'll enjoy your hot drink surrounded by hundreds of books tucked away in every corner of the room. This sublime café in the heart of Hastings' historic town center, with a second, more spacious address on Robertson Street, is an ideal place for a break in your day's sightseeing. A wonderful café combining a gourmet break with board games! With over 850 games on offer, this original venue invites you to come and enjoy a good time with friends or family. Fortune of War enjoys a truly enviable location, on the waterfront and right on the beach. The interior of the bar is laid out like a ship that's run aground, with the prow extending to the back of the bar. At the stern, windows illuminate the tables. On rainy days, you can take shelter with a drink in hand to admire the furiously choppy sea. The Fortune of War has been open since 1882. You'll also appreciate its open-air terrace, directly on the pebbles of Brighton beach. A wide selection of beers completes the picture.

Revenge is Brighton's most famous LGBT club, and attracts far more than just gay clientele. Its reputation is well established, and its three floors fill up with a varied crowd on weekends, who come for the good atmosphere and the often very attractive prices on drinks. Ultra-modern LED screens, color laser system, impressive sound system... The rooftop terrace offers a spectacular view of the city. This is definitely the place to go if you want to party during your stay in Brighton.

This (very) small café is renowned for its homemade cakes! Delicious lemon cakes, peanut butter cookies, banana breads... are served with coffee, traditional tea or homemade hot chocolate. There's also plenty to nibble on for lunch, with a choice of grilled cheese sandwiches, salads and savoury croissants. Even if the place is cramped, it's comfortable and authentic, and you can even stock up on coffee, roasted on site! Please note: there are no toilets on site.

Its reputation is well established: Concorde 2 is THE most famous company in Brighton and also one of the best live music spots in town. International bands and famous DJs perform on this stage and the classic club nights always attract a lot of people. Large groups have performed at Concorde 2, a place that has won several awards. Its sound and acoustic system is state-of-the-art and can accommodate up to 600 people each evening. A must if you want to celebrate!

It started out as an unpretentious pub, far removed from the hustle and bustle of central Oxford. Its concert hall enabled Radiohead to sign to their current label. And that's not all! The band Supergrass also played here in the early 1990s. Today, the pub is decked out in bright, garish colors. The Drapers Arms is just around the corner from Canterbury's city center! Recently reopened, its typically English decor, spacious surface area and large sofas make you want to sit down, drink a good beer and watch a match on the big screen. The owners emphasize products from local producers and offer succulent homemade pastries and sandwiches.
