PARQUE ANDRES ELOY BLANCO
Read moreLarge cities in the country are often equipped with beautiful parks so that families, sportsmen and couples can find themselves in a position to share moments of relaxation and practice. It was in the 1970 s that renovation work in a polluted and antiquated urban area began. At that time, the Ministry of Public Works decided to demolish the houses and imagine the construction of a park. But before that, the 39 ha of land are unfortunately used as an open pit by the population. The threatened environment, the government then takes the bull by the horns to speed up the construction of the park. Today, the metamorphosis is bluffante, the detritus has left room for the communal sports fields, to arrow paths of strolls, a park for the smaller, coffee, etc., and all this on the edge of the water. You will also find Casa de la Poesía Víctor Valera Mora and a large open-air amphitheatre where concerts are taking place. The park also pays tribute to Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen, singers who are activists and advocates of peace, since two places with a statue are located in the park.
