Either you work in the large area of activities of Corbas and Vénissieux and it is impossible for you not to know this Atelier, the greedy reference of the sector, or you are looking for one of the best meat restaurants in the entire Metropolis and, rejoice, you found it! Between two factories and a warehouse, this workshop, where you can park easily, has the right taste to make us forget its surroundings as soon as the door has been crossed. Here, the quality of the reception is not a vain word - moreover, the Butcher Shop is a signatory of the Quality Tourism Charter, Service in Mind, rare for a restaurant - and it is a whole team, around the excellent Jacqueline and Christian - the latter in the kitchen - which folds in four to serve us with a smile and with respect for our own. Often "tight" lunch time. Air conditioned rooms so pleasant to relax and terrace protected to enjoy the beautiful days. But if you come to reception and atmosphere - theme nights on Fridays evening (jazz concerts, French variety, Cuban evening…) -we come first for the quality of meat and generous cuisine that respects the product. Other pleasures of the Atelier, large well-composed salads, chicken fillets in the form of nuggets served with homemade ketchup or a mixed grill to taste all meats. Fish to vary pleasures with a tartare of fresh tuna and salmon, ginger and citronella. A minute vacherin and an imperative stick to rum and fresh seasonal fruit to finish. As the brand clearly indicates, here is the favourite address of red meat fans. Take a break at the Butchery and its iconic cow who will entertain children. For the little history, the Butchery is a national sign whose first address was created in… Megève. Since then, the Butchery perpetuates a tradition of quality "craftsman of meat" and servers speak "louchebem", the familiar language of butchers of yesteryear. In a beautiful decor with red notes, we gladly come to enjoy the classics of beef and veal (from meat limousine to exemplary traceability) and some dishes from the local area. Among the specialties of the house, you start with a bowl of chicken livers or a beautiful salad; We continue with a fondant, tasty burger or carpaccio beef carpaccio, but we stop choosing on the leather card of meat meat: tournedos, tab, spider, pavement… and the famous beef coast. At the sign of this restaurant in the narrow Rue Lanterne, we would expect that one does not come here to eat a large vegetarian salad… Behind these beautiful stone walls, Futé found one of the best meat restaurants in the city. It is highly advisable to book, because the address - open for 5 years - attracts a beautiful clientele, rather "night" one (another Butcher and adjoining address is open at lunchtime), which comes to enjoy famous cocktails - the boss of the place is a specialist in the field - while listening to good sound. In a slightly brief decor, but at the end very convivial, meat lovers sit to discover dishes focused on… meat. And we must admit that it is particularly good, with pieces that are not often found in traditional restaurants. Menu reduced to a dozen dishes, with the unmissable homemade burger and its potatoes, while you are more gladly advised to enjoy matured meat, such as a beautiful beef rib or exceptional meast, at affordable prices, with Angus beef, the Wagyu (famous Japanese beef with parsley) or beautiful Galician beef ribs of 40 days maturation… Other specialty of the place: whisky, in which meat enjoys being marinated. Fred likes beautiful cars, especially American ones, and the Harley-Davidson, who are welcome on the large car park in the house.
