Summer or winter, this place is absolutely fantastic! It is close to the city center, but in the middle of nature. In the summer, you can enjoy the large swimming pool, free of charge and equipped with a small igloo, as well as hikes in the surroundings. In winter, you can put on snowshoes or spend the evening chasing the aurora from an observatory in the forest. You can also take a Sami cooking class with a famous chef! Many activities are also offered throughout the year in the spirit of calm, comfort and freedom!

This hotel belongs to the same group as the Comfort Hotell, and is in the same price range. Located at the other end of Storgatan, it is the largest hotel in the city with its 209 rooms. No particular charm and a standardized service but the prices are attractive, the hotel is well located and the breakfast is of quaity. Good address to spend one or two nights in the city center. The hotel has a restaurant, Cook's Krog, which serves tasty Norrbotten and Lapland specialties. There is also a bar and lounge.

Located in the middle of the pines on the edge of the small lake Talvatissjön, this luxury hotel with a red wooden facade is mostly frequented by businessmen and hunters. The rooms are clean and bright but the bathrooms are rather rudimentary. The sauna, free of charge, is located in a small chalet on the edge of a lake. In the basement there is a gym and a relaxation room with a fireplace. The restaurant, with bay windows overlooking the lake, is sparkling and specializes in local fish and meat dishes. No service at lunchtime.

A very nice hostel, well located, comfortable and nicely decorated. Highly recommended! Located less than 20 minutes walk from Gävle train station, in the Villastaden area, along the Gavleån river. Yellow House is certainly the nicest hostel in Kiruna. Located in a small alley, it is not easy to find, but it is worth looking for. In the building on the right, the reception. Go through the door, it is always open. The decoration, as well as the buildings, is from the period, and this is what gives the Yellow House its retro and cosy feel. In the heart of winter, small loupiotes give the house a typically Swedish and fairy-like atmosphere. In the summer, take advantage of the inner courtyard to have a barbecue.
