Libraries Vaucluse

This former mansion houses the second library - in many books - from the Cité des Papes. But beware, here is the culture of Provence, or even Latin culture, which is more precisely in honour. Teachers, students and curious can immerse themselves in the beauty and surprises of the region thanks to a large Provencal and archaeological library (more than 27 000 documents over the late th century period - beginning of the xxth century). It also contains the writings of the greatest authors of Provençal literature such as Theodore Aubanel, Emile Espérandieu, Joseph Roumanille or Frédéric Mistral. Borrowing books in a museum is the unique concept of the Inguimbertine Library in Carpentras. Housed in a former hospital rehabilitated as a library-museum, it offers a large collection of classic and contemporary works, a space dedicated to video games with screens and sofas as well as workshops for children and adults all year round. To walk in this library is to walk in the footsteps of History, which can be discovered, observed and admired through technology (robots, sound seats, etc.)
