By taking the route of La Corniche from Toulon, or from Seyne and Saint-Mandrier, you will discover the Fort Balaguier on the seafront. A magical place with remarkable gardens where the theatre has enjoyed its success, and where the rooms come to enchant your summer evenings! Here, in open skies, the 2013 edition featured the plays of Marc Camoletti, Xavier Duranger, Philippe Claudel, Farcical, Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt, and the Chopin music, the comic opera Marseille my love, a lyric concert, El Botcho… An enchantment! Tickets can be purchased on site, but we recommend reserving in advance for the chance to see these shows. Take advantage of the museum and the gardens!

Created in 1985 by the late great Jean-Claude Brialy and Jacqueline Franjou as a tribute to Gérard Philipe, this festival lasts twelve days, from the end of July to mid-August. It is held in an exceptional setting, the Théâtre de Verdure, and sees classical or contemporary plays being performed, alternating with singing tours by French variety artists and renowned comedians. Since 2007, Michel Boujenah is the artistic director of the festival.

Do you know the Var de Var Matin? The Sun Tower, the heir to the Songs and the Summer Gazette, is travelling through the towns and villages of Var and the Maritime Alps. Copycats, comics and amateur singers or professional of make their talent and leut the communes for three hours of entertainment. The kick-off is launched at 21 p. m. at your brand… Loans? Sing and laugh!

The Var celebrates Mediterranean literature! Ranked among the largest French literary events, the event brings together thousands of passionate people who come to meet more than 200 authors as well as artists, actors and journalists around the theme of culture in the Mediterranean. The event invites the public to exchange round tables, literary cafés and cafés cafés with authors who make literary events.

Once a year, once a year, the operas of France open their Doors to the general public. This European day allows you to discover the opera and its various professions - costumières, decorators, accessoiristes, perruquiers, makeup artists, technicians - who come out of the shadows and answer all your questions! You will discover the beautiful opera house in Toulon, its backstage and its roof. 

For its 4 ^th edition in 2013, the operation "Read à la plraage" takes on the service like every summer on the beaches of Du. The success of the operation allowed the duration of the operation to extend from 1 to 2 months of presence. It's from July 2nd to August 31st that readers of a day or longer will be able to contact the personnel staff stationed on the Pins Cove to consult on site or take on their romans, youth albums, comic strips or magazines of their choice. These books come from the fund of the city libraries, and will be handed over simply in exchange for a name and telephone number… With a stone making two blows, the holidaymakers will be able to consult a wide range of documentations made available by the Tourist Office: everything about activities, animations and other planned tours in the surrounding area during the beautiful season!

The Nuits Blanches festival at Le Thoronet is a must for music and show lovers. Admission is free for children under 12.

Nans-les-Pins is a small town in Provence. Every year, the Fédération Aicler Provence organizes the Festival Choral International en Provence, a unique event celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. This traveling festival welcomes top-quality choirs from France and abroad for a series of concerts throughout the region. Over 30 concerts will take place in towns such as Solliès-Toucas, Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume, Marseille, Toulon and many more. Participating choirs come from countries such as China, South Africa, Italy, Latvia, Slovakia, the USA, Canada, the UK and many more. Concert times are 9:00 p.m. and admission is free.

The Arts Musique Entrecasteaux festival not only offers concerts of classical and contemporary music, but also unforgettable moments of sharing and discovery. For 40 years, the festival has offered a unique program of original works performed by internationally renowned musicians and promising young talents. Crisscrossing the villages of the Haut-Var, the festival is open to all audiences, from enlightened amateurs to neophytes, with free concerts for under-18s. A warm and friendly atmosphere awaits you for a unique musical journey to the heart of the Provencal summer.
