Arken means "the arch". It's an exciting building that is visited by many architecture students every year. The building is based on shipbuilding principles, with upper and lower decks connected by a ladder. There's also an exterior control deck! In addition to its unique view of Køge Bay, it's a very popular restaurant. Danish specialties (herring, soup, shrimp), seafood (in summer), fish of the day. The terrace overlooking the harbor is very pleasant.

RAADHUSKROEN

Raadhuskroen, translated as "the mayor's crown", is an inn that recalls the past. From the street, the sign swings gently and creaks. The atmosphere takes us in! Inside: velvet seats and black carpet, small lamps and old leather-bound books on the shelves, the whole is rather cosy. There is a room on the second floor for groups, a courtyard at the back. Musical evenings are organized in the summer. As for the menu: traditional dishes including the famous smørrebrød, very affordable. It is simple, good and copious.

While enjoying a magical view of the fjord, savor dishes prepared with fresh local products. A bistronomic cuisine that will delight you. The Easter menu had us salivating: herring with currants and sour cream, herring with mustard and baked shallots accompanied by marinated rhubarb followed by a creamy egg salad with roasted cauliflower and spring onions and smoked cod roe rillettes with buckwheat emulsion. All accompanied by sourdough bread... and local beers (pop up store on site!)

In the heart of Roskilde in one of the oldest streets. The most popular restaurant in town. Intimate with 35 seats in the evening. You can eat Danish specialties with French and Spanish inspiration and high gastronomy. The plates are like works of art and the combinations are inventive. Reservations are essential. There is also a beautiful courtyard used throughout the summer. Danish ingredients, preferably local and seasonal, and the menu is based on 11 small dishes of the same size and price.
