This brewery is located to the east of the center, in the heart of the Fabric district, in the factory that produces the famous local beer, which is over three hundred years old. You won't want to miss its beautiful Art Deco façade. Simple Romanian cuisine is served here: grilled meats, sarmale... But people come here above all for the popular atmosphere, which is pleasant in both winter and summer. You can dine either in the beautiful wood-panelled dining room, with its copper vats, or on the vast covered terrace. Good value for money if you stick to standard dishes.

Whether you're a vegetarian or not, it would be a shame not to try your hand at what was the first restaurant of its kind to open in Timișoara. Here, additives and preservatives are not allowed and, as the restaurant's name suggests, the fruit and vegetables used are organic. A quick glance at the menu already makes our mouths water, with original dishes such as fig pate with chilli or, as a sweet ending, a soft basil-cashew nut dish. Promises that are kept on the plate, all for a very reasonable price.

Not far from the centre, in the district Bălcescu, "the grandmother's house" is a very good address. This local canteen, which occupies a beautiful old house, serves excellent traditional Banat cuisine and original specialities: grilled trout, șnițel Viennese, paprikaș, duck leg with chestnut sauce and beetroot purée. For dessert, you will find homemade ice cream. Moreover, the prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is pleasant, with its period objects, red-checked tablecloths and beautiful terrace.

This restaurant, which will open in 2013, is one of Arad's very good addresses. It is mainly known for its fish and seafood dishes, cooked in a simple way that emphasizes the quality of the products: sea mussels, scallops, oysters, paellas... But you can also eat excellent pieces of angus beef, as well as pasta and risottos. The setting is pleasant, with its navy blue and white decoration. When the weather is nice, the restaurant spreads out a pretty terrace on the pavement, at the foot of a superb decayed building.

Beyond the porch, you'll find a lovely green courtyard, shaded by a large cherry tree. The wooden terrace is scattered with mismatched wooden and wrought-iron tables and chairs. A bucolic setting in the heart of the city! The interior is elegant too, a rustic-chic apartment with parquet flooring. The music is soft and the service pleasant. On the menu, tasty and original cuisine, blending Romanian and more exotic influences, as evidenced by the few Indian or Thai flavors on the menu.

This centuries-old brand has changed its function over the years: from grocery store to tailor to farrier. But it has always kept its name: "Au cheval blanc" is today an elegant restaurant, which revisits in a contemporary sauce the traditional cuisine of Banat, crossed by Serbian, Italian, Austrian and Hungarian influences: duck legs with red cabbage, pork shank with beer, homemade tagliatelle with black truffles... It is delicious! The terrace allows you to enjoy the entertainment of the pedestrian centre.

Open since 1999 in the new town, it is one of the most famous addresses in Oradea. It offers an incredible setting of retro elegance, with rustic or baroque accents depending on the room. A busy decor, which will take you back in time. On the menu you will find a wide variety of traditional Romanian and especially Hungarian specialties: chicken broth, fillet of beef Budapest, stew, papricaș hake or somlói galuska for dessert. International dishes such as salads and pasta are also served.

Bistro chairs, dark woodwork, antiques and oil paintings: on the main square, on the other side of the theater, this café-restaurant recreates a warm vintage atmosphere. The setting is resolutely designer, bright and uncluttered. When the weather's fine, you'll be able to enjoy a magnificent green terrace, complete with a lovely pool.

You feel at home in this restaurant, which occupies three rooms in a row, in a beautiful old house 10 minutes walk from the city centre. Homemade offers a relaxing and comforting setting, with its sofas, mismatched family furniture, multiple lights and soft jazzy music in the background. We eat an original and unpretentious cuisine: burgers, soups, duck legs and mashed potatoes, mushroom risotto, cream puffs... Vegetarians will also find interesting proposals.

It's particularly renowned for its meats, which are grilled over a wood fire, making them particularly tasty. Also on the menu: salads, pastas, soups, fish, tapas... and around twenty pizzas, also cooked over a wood fire. The wine list gives pride of place to Romanian vintages. The setting is pleasant, with a contemporary style punctuated by elegant retro touches: wood panelling on the walls, fireplace and period stove... A play area is dedicated to children.
