This greengrocer offers local fruit and vegetables, presented on barrels: zucchini from Fontvieille, melons from the Gard, clementines from Corsica... Owner Richard Gendre makes a point of knowing all the producers he works with. This guarantee of quality also enables him to charge reasonable prices. We tried the old-fashioned tomatoes, white zucchinis and yellow melons: all delicious! You'll also find charcuterie, Camargue rice, eggs, jams, wine, cheeses, fruit juices... all local, of course.

COULEURS PAYSANNES

This is a very active cooperative with more than a hundred members - cereal growers, market gardeners, breeders - and it also exists in Manosque and Valensole. No intermediaries, ultra-fresh products and flawless traceability at the same price as the producer. Demanding or committed customers can find seasonal fruit and vegetables, dairy and farm products, cold cuts and meats all year round. The approach being also locavore, nothing is produced more than 160 km away. In the fish section, sea bream, sea bass and tuna from La Seyne-sur-Mer are sold vacuum-packed to guarantee the freshness of the product. Practical and well-stocked, the grocery section offers honey, tapenades, olive oils, jams, dried fruits, fruit juices, beers and wines, and organic products. The bread is made by farmer-bakers with their own wheat and small spelt. In short, you can do almost all your shopping at Couleurs Paysannes, and even treat yourself with a bouquet of flowers. Easy to access, the building is well visible from the avenue de La Grande-Bégude, which connects the center of Venelles to the Logissons. The welcome is smiling, the parking is free and every Friday and Saturday, producers come to present their products

LE MARCHÉ

This early one didn't have enough space inside a already large store, so he started to trespass on the street. The salads then turned off and exotic fruits, coconuts, papayas, mangoes, fruit of dragon, Jacques, fruits of passion, mangosteen, feijoa, tamarind, rambutan etc… to invade the pavement, for the greatest pleasure of all, with an incomparable choice. The market like you love!

As in the studio, as in the market, as at the farm… In this beautiful, colourful Italian street, you find the season's fruit and vegetables beautifully displayed on the shelves of the store and those on the sidewalk. We appreciate the early morning opening of the brand that allows to make its market in the cool or/and before the work. We also appreciate prices that are reasonable for quality and freshness. An alternative to the market when you are pressed. Most: direct sale by Internet and home delivery from 20 euros. It is certainly one of the most beautiful shelves in Aix!

L’OLIVERAIE

Market gardeners

The fruit king of Provence found here its marks of nobility. Green or black, broken or fragrant, the olive is the star of this small store that proposes it in different kinds, from the douces to the most spiked. The amateurs are not fooled by it. It will delight everyone during the aperitif, served with a good pastaga of course. International olive specialists are unanimous: This is where you find the most Provençal! It is a real institution in the field, for real.

LES PISSENLITS – ÉPICERIE PAYSANNE

Market gardeners

Saint-Victor also has its own farmer's grocery store. Camille and Delphine offer seasonal products, mainly from the region, thus favouring the short circuit and responsible consumption. In this way, they are true supporters of local peasant agriculture. You will be able to shop here with fresh produce, fruit and vegetables, dairy products and juices but also groceries with jams, honey and some bulk products. We particularly like the anti-gaspi corner, "not sexy but exquisite".

EPICERIE PAYSANNE ADÈLE

Market gardeners

It is good to live in Provence, culinary as well. A land rich in diversity and strong of passionate producers. There is no longer any need to travel around the region to enjoy the best of the land. In the heart of the Camas, on the now very popular boulevard Chave, this so-called country grocery store only offers products from local producers. Fruits and vegetables (in season, of course), cheeses, delicatessen, jams and honeys, yoghurts or juices, a real opportunity to shop with peace of mind. Success has not been denied since the opening and it is not uncommon to meet all your neighbours there

LES FIGUIÈRES DU MAS DE LUQUET

Regional grocery Specialties of Provence

It has been nearly half a century since Francis Honoré and his wife, Jacqueline, planted the first trees in their huge fig orchard. At Mas de Luquet, on 12 hectares, dozens of varieties of figs are grown. While Jacqueline concocts sweet and savoury recipes, makes jams and condiments (vinegar, mustard...), Francis uses his baguette to convince amateurs to succumb to the temptation. A couple to meet urgently.

Why La Casa di Mina simply because Mina is the Corsican grandmother. Thus one finds there the best Corsican products. On the early side, 100% local products within a 40 km radius. Products from an ecological agriculture. The range of Marius products is very well represented, tapenade, anchovy paste, ratatouille, ristes and regional products. You will obviously enjoy Corsican cheeses and their Provencal cousins. But also pasta from the wheat of the mas de Daudet, fresh eggs, charcuterie from Luberon, regional wines...
