COULEURS PAYSANNES

This is a very active cooperative with more than a hundred members - cereal growers, market gardeners, breeders - and it also exists in Manosque and Valensole. No intermediaries, ultra-fresh products and flawless traceability at the same price as the producer. Demanding or committed customers can find seasonal fruit and vegetables, dairy and farm products, cold cuts and meats all year round. The approach being also locavore, nothing is produced more than 160 km away. In the fish section, sea bream, sea bass and tuna from La Seyne-sur-Mer are sold vacuum-packed to guarantee the freshness of the product. Practical and well-stocked, the grocery section offers honey, tapenades, olive oils, jams, dried fruits, fruit juices, beers and wines, and organic products. The bread is made by farmer-bakers with their own wheat and small spelt. In short, you can do almost all your shopping at Couleurs Paysannes, and even treat yourself with a bouquet of flowers. Easy to access, the building is well visible from the avenue de La Grande-Bégude, which connects the center of Venelles to the Logissons. The welcome is smiling, the parking is free and every Friday and Saturday, producers come to present their products

This little store on the Quai des Sardiniers sells products from Lou Mujou, the Provençal name for the muge (or mullet). Anchoïade, monkfish liver confit, rouille, pistounade and, of course, the company's emblem, poutargue, the Provencal caviar made from mullet roe... all made on site. The managers are happy to offer advice on how to prepare it. And to discover the different stages of production, the young couple open the doors of their cannery once a month, from July to September.

MOULIN LA CRAVENCO

Regional grocery Specialties of Provence

This mill owes its name to its location. In the heart of the land, the Cravenco Mill, literally "daughter of the Crau" in Provencal, has an exceptional terroir. Its oils, regularly awarded: A.O.P. Vallée des Baux silver medal in 2017, A.O.C. Provence gold medal at the agricultural competition in Paris the same year, will always find their place on your table or in your kitchen. The secret lies in the right mix of thirty or so plants that have been macerated in alcohol and the addition of a honey-based syrup. In the small adjoining shop, you will also find pastry specialities made from this liqueur. During the season the distillery can be visited by appointment.
