This double function restaurant is very popular with the inhabitants of the town of Pocheon, and it has seduced us as well. It is first of all a barbecue restaurant in which the dishes of galbi (meat marinated then grilled) are delicious. But it is also a buffet restaurant which offers salads, seafood, sushi, some Korean dishes and even desserts... in short, a myriad of very appetizing little things. A good address from which one comes out really full (don't eat too much at the previous meal).

The restaurant's exterior is as colourful and fragrant as the cuisine it serves. The classic dishes of Korean cuisine, such as tteokgalbi (beef patties) are revisited here with great elegance. An adjoining cafe allows you to end your meal always with a touch of finesse. Outside, there are also some pottery and bonsai trees on display.

In a canteen-like atmosphere, you can enjoy delicious traditional dishes such as pork with red chili paste or miyeoktang seaweed soup. If you'd like to extend your tasting experience outside the restaurant, there's also a sales point. You can also take dried flowers such as hibiscus to make infusions. It's good and not too expensive, so it's a no-brainer.

According to the people of Gyeonggido, this restaurant is one of the best you can find in the area. The first thing that pleases at first is that it is located in a superb hanok in which you can find typical temple paintings. Then (and this is of course not negligible), the seafood food served to us is simply divine. On the program of culinary festivities are grilled fish and spicy stewed fish. A bit expensive, but worth the expense.

If you want to change a little bit from the many spicy dishes found in South Korea, here is an address that will surely seduce you. A very good hwasan hanu bulgogi (화산한우불고기). It is a dish of beef meat accompanied by its vegetables (mushrooms, green onions, soy sprouts...) that we will come to cook slowly with a broth, in a surprising copper dish. Head for China Town, for an escapade in the land of the Middle Kingdom. In this restaurant with its traditional architecture and bright red façade, you can enjoy Chinese dishes revisited in the Korean style, which have become very popular. Here, jjajangmyeon (soybean paste noodles) and jjambong(spicy seafood noodles) are not only succulent, but also generously served. To accompany these noodles, chabssaltangsuyuk (fried pork in sweet and sour sauce) is highly recommended. In fact, it's a very famous assortment of dishes.

Idong Galbi is the succulent speciality of the Pocheon region and it is therefore not by chance that we find this village, which is actually a wide and long street. The "village" started in 1960 with only two small restaurants, but it now includes about ten, all strangely similar. All the establishments are of equal value. Here you can quietly enjoy this dish made of beef marinated in soy sauce that we will kindly come and grill. A truly unforgettable delicacy!

This restaurant offers an immersion in the world of camping: wooded walls, oil lamps, camping chairs... The decoration is pushed in its theme which makes the place really nice! We eat simple but quality dishes such as stews, fried chicken... And we can choose between traditional Korean dishes or more modern dishes from different origins. Pork ribs with barbecue sauce and pineapple rings are particularly succulent and highly recommended. The very pleasant staff contributes to having a very good time.
