It is at the back of this elegant and spacious shop, with gleaming stainless steel pipes on a black background, that the large German roaster Probat by Anne and Frédéric operates. A beautiful machine! Twelve tons of coffee beans are roasted year round and ground for the customer every minute. In the tasting area, nestled in a comfortable Chesterfield, you will be able to rediscover the good coffee, the one that is filtered the old-fashioned way, less strong than an espresso and more aromatic. And then a hundred teas await you here, as well as fine groceries, such as the very subtle Cluizel chocolate or the "spreads" of (local) mushrooms and spices, oils... The welcome is warm.

Let's be proud! The Vienne region is home to one of France's last remaining tea houses. Founded in Paris in 1848, Compagnie & Co (formerly Compagnie Coloniale) moved to Dissay in 1995. It's here that groups can visit the company's workshops. You'll discover how the brand imports original teas to France, creates its own blends and creates delicate fragrances using a unique steam aromatization process. Best-sellers include Chine Extra, created in 1936, and the famous Christmas tea.

The sweet smell of coffee draws you into the pretty boutique of La Maison Bourbon, where green coffee from Ethiopia, Rwanda, Brazil and elsewhere is roasted. The beans are on display. We talk about their aromas, their finesse or their robustness, before grinding them for you. In this beautiful boutique, where 320 loose or bagged teas share the shelves, you'll also find a good selection of delicatessen items, as well as pretty mugs, teapots, coffee makers and even local beers!
