This department with various landscapes allows all types of fishing. Lecourbe Niortaise is a slow and deep water course for eels, white fish and predators. Navigable up to Angoulême, the Charente allows to marry, with pleasure, fishing and walk with a boat. In the West, at the borders of the ocean, the Seudre and its canals, and the coastal marshes of Rochefort, Marenne and the Gironde estuary form a large fishing territory. It's a shallow fishery (between 1 and 3 metres), very technical, with light material, hard lures, on sites where beautiful fish are on the lookout. The fight in force by the bar is exciting. Fish are sometimes reduced by several kilos. Do not delude yourself: fishing on the parks maybe… sporty! When conditions are not favourable to surface fishing on oyster parks, they are joined in the north, in more distant and deep fishing areas. The fishery is then pulled away by handling soft lures or exploded jiggs at the boat's edge (vertical fishing), or by launching lightweight soft lures (fly fishing). In both cases it is possible to try bars… and lean.
