CARTIER-BRÉBEUF NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE OF CANADA

Relive the wintering of Jacques Cartier and his companions in 1535-1536 is an experience in itself. This interpretation centre evokes through its exhibits Jacques Cartier's travels to Canada, his meetings with the Iroquois of the St. Lawrence and the role played by the Jesuits, following the arrival of the missionary Jean de Brébeuf. After your visit, we strongly recommend a small walk in the Limoilou area (several restaurants and shops on 3rd Avenue) and a picnic in the Park of l'Anse-à-Cartier.
