As small as this village is, its reputation goes far beyond the borders of the region, and even beyond. It is THE capital of ice fishing (or ice fishing) with several outfitters on site. The season starts the day after Christmas, if Mother Nature allows it. There is plenty to do, not to mention the musical shows and all kinds of outdoor activities, including the Ice Fishing Festival (in February).

The main activities are rafting, kayakraft and hydroluge. You can also go canyoning, opt for a combination of hiking and canoeing in the Mauricie Park or simply rent a watercraft. Adventure packages are offered as well as expeditions with experienced guides (different locations in Quebec). Training courses are also offered, such as calm water canoeing, river kayaking or first aid and rescue.
