The sizes, shapes and colours are far more varied than we imagine. Training takes place at the university campus every weekend. There are regular departures on the beaches of Fort Mahon.

Paragliding

The first picardie "rather amazing birds" created this structure fifteen years ago. They are about forty members fire today flew in the Picardy heavens. Hang gliding, paragliding, they practice gliding in winch or down the slope on five sites located a few tens of kilometres of Amiens, but also more remote sites including Normandy or the Alps. The institution, born in 1909, offers its 150 members and visitors hours in the air. Different possibilities exist. If you are a novice, several circuits are proposed to you to discover the region differently. If you want to take the place of a pilot, there are training courses. For the more experienced, it is even possible to train for aerobatics. On land, a flight simulator allows you to reinforce your skills.

From pre-planned historical tours to sightseeing outings, the Picardie flying club has everything you need to discover the most beautiful and interesting sites to fly over in the area. The Remembrance Tour, for example, will take you to the great battlefields of the Bay of the Somme. Located on the Amiens-Glisy airfield, the Picardie flying club is just 1? hours from Paris by freeway! Two professional instructors and a team of volunteers make up an efficient team that welcomes you with the greatest sympathy. The facilities and services offered by the aeroclub to pilots here couldn't be more comprehensive: bar, clubhouse (accessible to people with reduced mobility), computer equipment, lesson and flight preparation room (with access to weather forecasts, flight plans, fax, etc.), terrace devoted to barbecuing its "guests" in fine weather... The key word here is conviviality!
