Read moreLocated in a building on the banks of the St. Lawrence River since 1990, the Musée de Charlevoix's mission is to promote the region's history, ethnology and folk art through temporary thematic exhibitions devoted exclusively to local artists, as well as rich collections on history and heritage. The museum also houses a gallery-shop selling handcrafted textiles, folk art sculptures, jewellery, books and tutti quanti, and a panoramic terrace allows you to take a break from the sublime view.

Paintings, sculptures, prints, photographs, design and multimedia occupy the exhibition spaces, as well as works from the International Symposium (annual event) and donations. In the summer, free guided tours are offered and last about 45 minutes. The museum store is also worth a visit.
