What a pleasure it is to walk along the towpath of a river! The setting is so bucolic that you almost forget you're exercising... Available on foot or by bike, the Mayenne trail takes the form of a Voie Verte (Green Way) covering some 100 kilometers, mostly in Mayenne and to a lesser extent in Maine-et-Loire. Departing from the commune of Mayenne, it stretches as far as Lion-d'Angers, serving a dozen towns along the way. Castles, locks and picturesque villages punctuate your strides or pedal strokes. If you're a local cyclist, you've just found a fantastic playground!

In the shadow of the long path of hâlage of Mayenne, this km Green Lane is (too) often unknown. It's a pity, because it's a lot shorter than its big sister, it is a very good option for the athletes who need to see the end of their journey to stay motivated! Set on the right-hand side of the old railway line, the shaded track gives you a variety of landscapes. Accessible on foot or by bike, it offers a pleasant jogging or walking route.

Renamed Stade Francis-Le-Basser, in tribute to the former mayor of the city, the former Jean-Yvinec stadium was inaugurated in 1971. Tangos's playground was expanded in 1978, while Stade Laval evolved into the first division. His latest lifting dates back to 2002.

Welcome to one of France's most beautiful villages! In fact, if it rings a bell even before you've visited it, it's probably because you've already caught a glimpse of it on France 2's Village préféré des Français. This cultural walk takes you to the heart of the only city to have held out against William the Conqueror between 1083 and 1087, and which also held out against the English during the Hundred Years' War. Its castle and keep are well worth a visit.

If Saint-Grégoire officially takes place on September 3, the municipality of Ernée will wait for the weekend to celebrate it properly. This festival of electro music takes place at the foot of the famous Roches d'Orgères on the plain, a place of pilgrimage and legends. Created in 2009 on the initiative of two friends passionate about electronic music, this festival was made official in 2015 with the birth of the association "Roches Events". Although the event had about thirty participants at the beginning, more than a thousand festival-goers attended the last edition. Magical atmosphere and unique environment make its success.

This is a festival to be attended without moderation between mid-July and early August, when the summer allows artists to give the best of themselves (and of the authors they interpret) in many sites of the department of Mayenne, both public (municipal gardens...) and private (farmyards or castles), which are particularly pleasant to visit. This is how the great authors of the classical and contemporary repertory were able to be played by excellent professional actors.

On Sunday August 30 th, the municipality of Château-Saved will be at the rhythm of the Course race - to your trainers! In the programme: a nature race of 10,2 km on grass and in closed circuit, reserving dishes and few small climbs - in sum, no great difficulty. On Sunday, August 23rd, the municipality of Saint-Germain-le-Guillaume will put sport into honour. Forty-five athletes will be expected on that day to participate in Strides Germanaises, a 10 km test in six loops in the centre of the village. You live in the corner and want to add a competitive dimension to your physical training? It seems that the opportunity is perfect! So put the trainers together and take part in this convivial event!

On April 5 th, the municipality of Gorron will be on the rhythm of Strides Gorronaises, a popular sporting event with several walking races. The program? 1, 2, 3, 6 or 10 kilometres to travel on an urban circuit. 150 participants are expected again this year; put the trainers and sail: take part in this convivial event! Rewards will be awarded to all arrivals, and no matter how important the ranking, remember that the important thing is to participate!

The Chapel of the Genêteil is the centre of contemporary art attached to the Square, a national scene located at Château-Saved. The centre invites young artists, but also recognized talents, for personal or collective exhibitions. Some works created at Château-Saved are now in public or private collections. The Chapel organizes approximately four exhibitions per year. Its architecture and history often inspire artists. All forms of art lend themselves to this: painting, sculpture, sound, video, dance, performance, installation, theatre…
