CASA PORTUGUESA DO PASTEL DE BACALHAU

Wine Cellar Wine House

Opened in 2018, this hybrid venue is part store, part wine cellar and part library. In its colorful room, you'll enjoy one or more cod fritters filled with Serra da Estrela PDO cheese while drinking a glass of port. There is a singer on weekends who is accompanied by an organ dating from the 18th century. The price is a bit high but the place, sublime, deserves at least to take a look at it once. We leave with a glass engraved of the day of our arrival.

MOSAICO DE SABORES

Wine Cellar Wine House

Located not far from the Clérigos, on the other side of the square, the store "Mosaicos de Sabores" (Mosaic of Flavors) is a modern delicatessen with a warm decoration reminiscent of grandmothers' dining rooms. The ideal place to take your time and taste the best flavors of the products of the different regions of Portugal (cold cuts, cheeses, cod, oils and wines). You will have to taste (with a detailed presentation!) ports from small producers but also the great Portuguese table wines, all selected with a concern for quality. It is also an opportunity to buy typical regional products of excellence to take away - it is also possible to have them delivered. Specialized and warm welcome.

CAVES DA MURGANHEIRA

Wine Cellar Wine House

The originality of these wine cellars lies in the fact that they are dug in blue granite, ideal for the conservation of wines. The cellars of Murganheira offer an instructive visit about the history of the place and the production of sparkling wine from different Portuguese and foreign grape varieties. It takes about 25 minutes to get there by car from Lamego. The visit lasts one hour. At the end you will be strongly tempted to buy one or more bottles to take home or to offer to relatives. The visit is worth it. Dynamic guide.
