The local park protection office gives all the information on it. It extends from Alentejo to the Algarve over a coastal area that rarely exceeds 6 km wide and 120 km long, from the south of Sines to the tip of Cabo de São Vicente and beyond to Burgau. There are 60,624 ha of cliffs, shale and limestone coves and 28,992 ha of sea areas. An area where the osprey, the red-billed bitch, or carnivorous bats roam freely.
