Close to the Côtes de Meuse, this golf course enjoys an idyllic setting. Between lake and forest, 30 hectares with 5,000 m² of greens await you. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced golfer, a solo player, a couple or a group, you can play on one of the two approved courses: the 9-hole Lac course, with its flat, varied terrain, is suitable for players of all levels, while the Héron course requires precision and mastery of the short game. The Vallée de l'Ornain greenway runs along the former towpath of the Marne au Rhin canal, between Fains-Véel and Saint-Amand sur Ornain, passing through Bar-le-Duc and Ligny-en-Barrois. Some 30 kilometers long, it allows you to discover all the nearby villages by bike or on foot, on a bucolic walk linking 30 numbered locks. Picnic areas have been set up along the way. Rollerblading not possible.

15 Km from Ligny-en-Barrois, the school of horse and carriage is located in the heart of the village of Biencourt. It is run by Jean-Marc Wozniak, qualified instructor. Visitors can follow particular lessons to learn how to run a horse and carriage or horse riding. The school also offers carriage rides, and pony or horse. Guest rooms are available for Overnight accommodation (+ breakfast for two people at €).

It features a fishing pond where visitors can catch trout. Anglers can catch as many fish as they like before coming to weigh them. On request, the fish farm can also clean and gut the trout. The trout are bred with respect for their well-being and requirements, in an exceptional environment. For added convenience, it is possible to visit the fish farm.

All year round, hiking associations in the region offer walkers and cyclists grouped outings organized around the head of the Meuse. The wind of Forests is a cultural initiative emanating from six villages meusiens, and to say it clearly as much: it is a success. For fourteen years, artists perform in residence have always shown more creative realizar bold and original works, then exhibited outdoors along the 45 km of trails breakfast room. Six marked trails are accessible to the public today. Open all year round, if you prefer the period March-September, except periods of hunting, to cover them.

Because it's necessary for all tastes and levels, this hiking route is more suitable for experienced riders. At the beginning of the Loisirs recreation base in Bonzée, it has the advantage of combining nature, culture and sport! You are in the heart of the Lorraine Regional Natural Park, in hilly countryside marked by the First World War.

First head towards Mont-Villiers, then to Mesnil-sous-Côtes and Les. From here, a detour is needed to climb the Crête ridge and join its ultimate "X Point". Go down the D 154 and ride up to Saint-Rémy-la-Calonne, where you will be on the D 332 to reach Saint-Maurice-sous-Côtes. Rejoingez then your starting point via Hannonville-sous-Côtes, Combres-sous-Côtes and Trésauvaux.

At the start of the lavoir-lès-Vaucouleurs wash-house, browse the discovery trail of local fauna and flora. In the programme: almost 5,5 kilometres on foot to meet a wild operator, a mountain maple, oak oak or other charms, charcoals of Europe, or black sureaux; in all, 14 tree species are to be met. Your journey is punctuated by several steps: The anthill signs its end, then go back to the village via the so-called Rural cross.

To enjoy a breath of fresh air, two different activities are available near the lake: an accrobranche with five courses of increasing difficulty to satisfy both children and adults. From 7 years old and accompanied by an adult, you can fly on the 7 zip lines that pass over the lake! The aerial equipment is varied and on the most sporty route, you will follow 15 workshops including a skateboard and a BMX bike to slide a few meters above the ground! Unique moments with family or friends.

This sports course is located on the heights of the city. With a length of 1095 metres, it offers thirteen steps, three of which will warm, a slalom, bars, rings, stairs… Each event is presented on a small panel and the course extends on a green terrain, presenting different species of trees. For children, a swing playground awaits them. The journey is close to the forest on the Sainte-Catherine side, which offers beautiful walks.

Seven hiking routes are walkers.

The communauté de communes du pays de Revigny offers 7 fully-marked hiking trails in loops. These walks range from 5 to 14.5 km, and can be completed in half a day. The circuits allow you to discover the heritage of the surrounding villages. Links between the loops have also been opened to cater for more experienced walkers. On two wheels, you'll find two bike circuits: a 15 km loop and a 35 km loop. Discover the natural, architectural and rural heritage of the Meuse region in the midst of beautiful scenery.

Between Saint-Mihiel and Commercy. The association breeds about twenty breeds of donkeys, including the black of Berry and the grey of Provence. Donkey rentals from half a day to several days, country rides in a cart, carriage rides, accompanied baptism of fire: you will spend a pleasant moment with your family. Various animations: exploration of the farm and discovery of the equine, sale of artisanal and cosmetic products (with the famous donkey milk), demonstrations of harnessing. Don't panic, the owners will give you their advice.

The Heudicourt equestrian center offers the ideal setting for all riding enthusiasts. We offer a wide range of activities for beginners and advanced riders, for adults, children and toddlers. The donkey is an ideal companion for hiking! The "Ânes Art'Gonne" association offers different types of walks in the heart of the Argonne: family outings on a donkey, multi-day tours for the more courageous, or a peaceful ride in a horse-drawn carriage (accessible to people with reduced mobility). There's a tour to suit everyone. The association also has a gîte that can accommodate up to 8 people, and offers numerous activities throughout the year: exhibitions, concerts, event organization..

Just 4 kilometers from Stenay, five ponds in the bottom of a valley offer two kilometers of shoreline and are a delight for lovers and enthusiasts of fishing for trout, carp, pike and other freshwater fish. The ponds are fed by a clear-water stream. You can take advantage of a fine day for fishing and enjoy the bucolic beauty of the surroundings. For meals with family or friends by the water, a pond can be rented with its own shelter, barbecue and private parking, on request.

After the steam locomotive and the TGV, here is the Vélorail: a revolutionary machine designed to run outdoors on the kilometres of railway tracks that are now abandoned! What a great idea to discover the rich heritage of our sweet France! Walk through the forests, cross the plains, cross bridges, tunnels and viaducts from the former Forges à Belhaine station in Dannevoux, a true journey back in time, to be shared with friends or family.

Vélo route - Voie verte is a bicycle route of about 60 km starting from Bar-le-Duc. The loop can be done in half a day (3 hours). Pack a picnic and off you go, you have eight stages to pass, several monuments to see, many small roads and landscapes. You will pass through Stainville, the castles of Bazincourt and Claudot (16th century) or the martyred village of Robert Espagne. Departure : Jean Jeukens media library - Marbeaumont castle.
