Follow a charming itinerary, suitable for all walkers, with no major difficulties. Stretching over just 1.5 km, this walk invites you to explore the key points of interest in Florac, the capital of the Cévennes National Park. Guided by the murmur of the Pêcher spring, you'll visit not only the château, but also sites such as the Saint-Martin church, the former convent, the Vibron and the ferradou. Departing from the Tourist Office, the route is punctuated by 12 numbered interpretation markers.

Top start at the spa resort of Bagnols-les-Bains. This hike of some 8 kilometres will lead you first to the village of Saint-Julien-du-Tournel, where the loop begins to take you to the awaited castle of the Tournel. For decades, this structure has been breeding horses and ponies that it rents out to riders, with a loyal clientele that has followed it from the beginning. Whatever the duration chosen (by the hour, by the day, by the week or even longer), the prices are very soft, and the horses are used to the outdoors. But beware, you will not have an instructor or a companion: the horses are therefore reserved for riders who are already experienced! Perfect for a horse ride in the heart of the Margeride. Reservation is compulsory.

Set in the heart of the Causse forest, this area is designed for keen and experienced cyclists as well as amateurs and beginners. This environmentally-friendly mountain bike park is divided into three routes, each accessible according to age and level. The first has been designed and made safe for toddlers. The second, with two workshops and three natural obstacles, is reserved for 5 to 8 year-olds. The third circuit, just over a kilometer long, is punctuated by a footbridge and numerous obstacles to appeal to the over 8s. Sensations for the whole family.

Located in the gorges of the Tarn, the Canophile offers you the opportunity to discover this site on a canoe or kayak. It is indeed from the surface of the water that the place seems the most imposing and wild. The Embarcadère pier is located just a few hundred metres from the village of Sainte-Enimie, whose water plan allows for a peaceful start to the practice of this water sport. Boats rent on time or for several days, depending on the route you wish to make. The Canophile offers several routes 8 to 40 kilometres upstream or downstream from the village.

This playground for children aged 0 to 12 opened its doors in 2019. The structure, a pioneer in its area, stretches under more than 900^m2 of buildings installed on the Causse d'Auge. Ball pool, inflatable games, mini-karts, slides, climbing modules and electronic games for older children... Lozer'Kids brings together a whole range of equipment to entertain children, especially on cloudy days. A relaxation area, with snack bar and refreshment bar, is also available for parents. Between lake and forest, the activities proposed here are numerous. On the water: catamaran, optimist, windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking or paddle. On land, accrobranche, mountain biking, all-terrain scooter and treasure hunt. Two nautical bases, one wilder and the other more developed, are managed by a team of sailing instructors who offer simple equipment rentals and courses. From Saint-Amans, you take the D999 towards Ribennes and after a few kilometers, you reach the Colagne valley, on which an artificial dam has created a small lake. On its beach, a refreshment stand installs its tables and parasols, rents canoes, pedal boats and mountain bikes. Games (swings and slides) keep the children busy while the parents relax. The experienced fisherman will look for some quiet spots to catch trout. In season, the beach is supervised by a lifeguard.

Upon reservation, Sonia Brimeur offers a wide range of equestrian activities: for children, simple pony rides; for adults, horseback riding for an hour, half-day or full day. Not forgetting the opportunity to work in the arena to familiarize yourself with the animals and have the pleasure of guiding them. Set in 25 hectares on the shores of Lake Naussac, this GOLF course comprises nine holes of increasing difficulty. Recently renovated, the course features huge greens and wide fairways, offering a wide variety of play. Numerous packages are available for youngsters and adults, from beginners to advanced players, with different options (group, individual, equipment included or not...). The DOMAINE also features a restaurant, hotel, cottages and wellness area.

In Solpérières, Evelyne and François have created a garden that reflects their convictions. Their Cévennes farm-garden is entirely dedicated to the organic production of flowers, plants and fruits, and to the promotion of biodiversity. Evelyne and François receive their guests for several days in two gîtes with traditional architecture, or for a few hours to discover their vegetable farm. They propose a walk in the middle of the flowers, before sitting down in the garden's summer lounge to taste the farm's products.

The team of La Maison de l'Aventure has developed a range of sporting and fun activities designed to take the measure of the incredible landscapes of the Hautes Cévennes: canyoning, caving, hiking, via ferrata, climbing and tree climbing, otherwise known as accrobranche. The Maison de l'Aventure thus offers the possibility to move safely in the river's whitewater, to tackle the limestone cliffs of the Chassezac gorges, to explore the depths of the great causses of Lozère, or to climb to the top of a hundred-year-old oak tree.

In a Natura 2000 zone, the Charpal Lake site is irresistibly reminiscent of Canada. Its very particular history (the lake was supposed to shelter ammunition between the two world wars and a railway line was built there), its forest, planted in the 1950s, have made it a unique place sheltering a rather exceptional fauna and flora. A path has been laid out and the 9 kilometres can be covered on foot or by mountain bike, with educational panels on the environment. If fishing (no kill only) is allowed, swimming is forbidden.

You don't have to be a member to take part in one of the many hikes proposed by this cheerful team, whose program can be found online or in the local press. Membership is compulsory after the^3rd participation, after having tested the club's good atmosphere... One of the club's stated aims is clear: "To share steps and create social links". This association, which produced a topo-guide to short hikes, offers guided hikes and themed outings (botany, birds, farm produce, etc.) around Grandrieu and in the Margeride region: twenty-five signposted loop trails starting from Grandrieu, ranging from 4 km to 27.2 km, a 75 km cantonal tour that can be completed in three days... The association has worked on the creation of a circuit called "la via Agrippa". The calendar of guided hikes and the trail map are available on the website.

Telescopes, binoculars and laser pointers enable young and old alike to apprehend a distant world, but one that's accessible at a glance. Thanks to his Petite Ourse accreditation, he organizes workshops for children aged 8 to 13.

The Gorges du Tarn golf course offers an 18-hole wooded and hilly course, in a spectacular environment, which was designed by Chris Pittman, as an extension of the traditional 9 holes. Its fairways require a lot of technical skill because they are very narrow. On site, the club-house offers all the necessary services: store, bar, restaurant, locker room. Lessons and training courses are offered to golfers of all levels and ages. To try this sport, group initiations take place in July and August.

This pony club is nestled in a 15-hectare property where you can learn to ride in complete safety. Dressage and jumping arena, cross country course, riding school, the equipment is adapted to the range of activities. For the youngest, from 3 to 5 years old, discovery and confidence-building programs familiarize the child with the pony through rides, driving, acrobatics and games. Older children also benefit from this type of activity, including preparation of their mount, riding lessons and practical application of what they have learned.

In a hamlet of the Cevennes, the donkeys are the companions of the men. Less stubborn than we think, they are very enduring carriers. With small steps, they facilitate the hike of the good walkers as well as the families whose luggage they carry and, on occasion, the tired offspring. Several all-inclusive packages are offered and all are adapted to the client's wishes: advice on donkeys, with an introductory session of 1h30, to get to know the animal, learn how to ride it, lead it, take care of it, but also maps, stopovers.

This 127-hectare lake, with a capacity of 35.6 million cubic meters, is the result of an artificial water reservoir at the Villefort dam, which is used primarily for electricity production - the hydroelectric plant is located at Pied-de-Borne - which explains the variations in water level throughout the year. But it is also a superb natural space, surrounded by the mountain, a formidable ground for many leisure activities: hiking, with 7 km of marked path around the lake, swimming, supervised on a beautiful sandy beach, in the summer afternoons, water sports, with the Grandeur Nature water sports base, a via ferrata, without forgetting fishing of course with Accueil Pêche et Nature which sells cards, equipment, rents boats and can also supervise novice fishermen, or even give introductory courses! The fario trout, the rainbow trout, the minnow and the chub indeed swim in number in the waters of the lake. Canoeing, pedal boating and windsurfing are also practiced on this site, where each corner is dedicated to a particular activity. Be careful, however, the navigation of boats is regulated, all information will be provided at the tourist office. When the waters of this dam, whose construction lasted from 1957 to 1965, are at their lowest, one can also see vestiges of the life of the past, in particular under the bridge of the XIXth century which resisted during the watering of the site. About twenty families, living in the valley, had been forced to leave.

This sporty course, which mixes the pleasures of mountain hiking with those of climbing, is available in two courses equally suited to beginners and more experienced climbers. The via ferrata of Rousses links rock walls, zip lines and suspension bridges to thrill in complete safety, but also to enjoy the exceptional landscapes of the Tapoul gorges. The circuit, which runs along the river, even allows you to refresh yourself on the way while enjoying the pleasures of the water. The entrance is free and the equipment can be rented on the spot.

It is on the southern slope of the Lozère mountain that La Cavale du Ventalon welcomes riders, according to several formulas, from the short ride to the weekend, or even more. More than a simple ride, it is a real immersion in the Cevennes landscapes which is proposed here, in the immediate vicinity of the GR7 and 68. A discovery of the Cevennes at the rhythm of the horse which can only amaze the nature lovers. La Cavale du Ventalon also offers options for walking or with a donkey, camping at the farm, and tasting good products along the way.

Several formulas are possible from 2 to 6 hours, several scenarios: the confrontations in teams are done in complete safety and include all the equipment: gas, balls, framing, photo album and refreshments. Lozère Paintball is installed on a 2 hectare shaded field but the structure can also move at home for special occasions (birthdays, aperitifs...) or rent the field for a duration of 3 hours for groups of 10 people minimum (marbles in supplement). On the edge of the Causse Méjean, this equestrian center welcomes you for horseback rides. Discover, in a few kilometers, an amazing variety of landscapes, from the arid and rocky areas typical of the limestone plateaus to the breathtaking panoramas of the Tarn gorges. The horses are calm and used to this type of outing, allowing you to enjoy the landscapes serenely for two hours. Cécile, who holds a sports instructor's certificate, is also there to supervise these moments in the open air and ensure the safety of all the riders.

It is one of the oldest (since 1976!) and best known boat hire companies in the gorge. From May to October, they offer routes and formulas with canoe hire and the accessories (vests, canister, paddles) necessary for a safe descent. Descents of 3, 10 or 23 km are possible. So much for the "classic" offer. More unusual formulas are proposed alongside the canoe, with bungee jumping, or the dromabox which doubles the course on the Tarn with a camel ride. There is also canoeing and mountain biking, canoeing and via ferrata...

The ski resort, which has successfully converted to a 4-season resort, offers a wide range of outdoor activities all year round: hiking, mountain biking, Nordic walking... In winter, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing and tobogganing take over. With these electric scooters, the roads and trails are quickly eaten up, and the landscapes of the Causse de Sauveterre, the Gorges du Tarn and the Cévennes go by at top speed. These rides, with hair blowing in the wind, wearing a helmet - safety is a must - and clinging to the handlebars of these little scooters, are accessible to riders aged 12 and over. They take place in small groups and are always accompanied by a qualified guide. At the same time riding instructor, specialist in ethology, guide and organizer of horseback rides, she now puts her skills at the service of big ears. She will teach you how to listen to your companion and will share with you all the tips of a good donkey driver. Moreover, as she knows the character of her animals well, she will know how to introduce you to the one you will get along with right away and throughout the trip.

This lake, built on the stream that gave its name to the village, is usually put in water around mid-June. Installed to enlarge the tourist offer on the Margeride, it benefits from several leisure facilities: games for children, two tennis courts and a refreshment bar. In the middle of the season, you can enjoy the pleasures of the water without fear, as swimming is supervised from July 14 to August 20. Set in the middle of a green environment, the lake is a very pleasant place to be on sunny days.

The Mas Camargues is a remarkable and imposing building complex, made of cut granite blocks, built in the 15th century, which houses a seasonal information center of the Cevennes Park. There are various elements of a typical farm (sheepfold, mill...). From there, you can follow a discovery trail that allows you to observe all the aspects of the massif: pastures, moors, forests, peat bogs, high altitude grasslands frequented by transhumants, and to approach the source of the Tarn.
