La Métairie is the place to be if you want to watch the sun set over the medieval town. This panoramic bar, high above the town, will delight your taste buds and your eyes, every evening of the week. The concept is simple: a cosy lounge bar, where you can enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail with a bite to eat. The afterwork version is open all year round for a moment of relaxation. The view of the Cité, the wood-fired pizzas, the guest chefs on certain dates... We love coming back to La Métairie!

When you come to Carcassonne, you visit the medieval City, but you also go down to the city to enjoy the charm and friendliness of the Place Carnot (very lively on market days). Petit Moka is the perfect place to take the time, the opportunity to take a small coffee, a tea or if the lunch break approaches to enjoy a simple and good kitchen (see restaurant section). Since then, the place has been called the aptly named Tasting Room, to get away from the crowds of the city center. Don't talk to him about his famous American origins because our international wine merchant likes to remain discreet. He prefers to emphasize his Italian side, which he has well represented in his cellar with wines that make you travel. You can also find local wines and "fatto in Italia" pizzas.

A must to add to your cocktails a touch of the Limoux region. A very popular place, it is better to reserve, especially for the wine and music evenings.

Le Rafiot is "the place to be" on the port, a bar with the look of an old rigging, where the wood has acquired a patina over time. During the day, it's a quiet place, ideal for breakfast in the morning, followed by a drink, ice cream or tapas. In the late afternoon, as the chill begins to set in, the temperature rises at Le Rafiot... Numerous house cocktails and DJ concerts in July and August. On the terrace, on the mezzanine overlooking the bar, you can dance and have fun, and that's what we love about Le Rafiot.

With a good glass of Minervois, Cabardès or Malepère wine, you can indulge in this truffle bar and enjoy surprising and bewitching tapas made with truffles, a real black diamond. Summer truffle or winter truffle, both varieties are produced in the Aude and the suppliers are local producers. For an aperitif that is out of the ordinary, go to Philippe Barrière's small intimate room for a gustatory journey into the delicate world of truffles.

The brewery's curtain rises at the aurores, six days a week. At lunchtime, the house serves salads and plain dishes and in the evening the brewery only opens for groups, on reservation, except on Thursday and Friday evenings where relaxation with musical animation sometimes extend until late. The Fond Fond love the fiesta, and student evenings regularly take place on Thursday evening.

Le Cosy du Plo is the address for gourmet taste buds, with two separate boutiques-tea rooms: one in the heart of the city, the other in town. To reconcile indulgence and well-being, we go for natural, local, carefully selected products. The star products: artisanal ice creams and pastries. But we also go for fresh salads at lunchtime, homemade soups, fruit juices and detox smoothies, dishes and drinks that match the seasons... Relax in this cocoon, take your time and enjoy!

Pablo and Safirs, the owners of this tapas bar-restaurant, wanted to make their establishment an ideal place to have a drink and share good times with friends and it is successful! Just 50 meters from the Mediterranean Sea, it's a convivial place to have a drink, discover vineyards and meet new people. The cellar offers a wide range of wines, mainly organic and/or natural, from small producers. Special evenings give you the chance to meet some of them. Indeed, La Part de l'Ange regularly hosts tastings, concerts and film screenings. Thierry Guichard has also opened a hybrid wine bar in Narbonne.

Located in the Chalets district, this coffee shop has a lot to offer. At the helm, Sophie, sommelier and barista, Aurélien and Inès. While Sophie makes your latte macchiato, Inès prepares the pastries served at breakfast and during the day. Don't miss the brunch and even less the nibbles at the end of the day with small dishes to share that invite you to travel accompanied by a local fruit juice or a glass of (natural) wine. Marc, the friendly owner, offers a unique concept that customers love during the week. You can, at your leisure, buy your favorite meat or fish from the shopkeeper of your choice, then come to the Comptoir des Halles to have it cooked on a plancha. But you can also eat duck breast, beef or chicken brochettes, bought on the spot by the owner. On Sundays, you can have tapas with a plate of cold meats, including Serrano, and manchego cheese or cheese from the sea, with mussels, squid and breaded mussel brochettes.

The top of the cultural café is nestled in Puivert! On the edge of a country road, you open the door to a human and artistic adventure: you will find all year long: poetry evenings, natural wine tasting, slam, open stages, creativity workshops, concerts...
