In the Besson family, we don't do things by halves and it is now Lucas' turn to take the helm of this new festive place. The Galion looks great with its old rigging mast on the deck and its superb tavern inside. After feasting on homemade tapas or well-cooked dishes, DJs, live concerts and shows will take place. Behind the bar, the shakers shake and the atmosphere rises to a crescendo, we have fun, we dance, we laugh, in short, we have a good time. An atypical place where all generations party together.

L'Argo, as it's known here, is a veritable institution. People come here for a drink overlooking the harbour, to relax on the cosy terrace or to sip a signature cocktail. Since Tommy took over the reins of the family bar, l'Argo has become a port staple. The premises have been revamped to become a trendy spot, and the new menu of homemade tapas to share gets the job done: trio of mini burgers, crunchy chicken, beef or salmon tartare, skewered supersalad... In July and August, there's a great atmosphere on Mondays with live concerts and DJ evenings.

Sheltered from the main roads, nestled in a small street, Katia's store offers a place of sweet and savory delicacies, a tea room with a resolutely contemporary design and an artist's glass roof allowing you to follow the conception of the creations live.You will be able to taste banoffees, chocolate tarts, lemon praline/hazelnut tarts, caramel/chocolate babka...You will also be able to enjoy the lunch formula including a dish and a dessert with tarts, wraps and salads according to the menu of the moment.

The Celt is an Irish pub in the purest tradition! As you can imagine, you will find a large choice of beers: 40 varieties in bottles and 8 in draught! You will find in the Narbonne tea shop fifteen different origins of coffee, coffees flavoured with vanilla or caramel and nuts, one hundred and forty varieties of tea, the sublime Monbana chocolates in various forms, but also coffee machines, teapots and many accessories. The place is nice for a gourmet break with many milkshakes, coffee or chocolate shakes or hot Viennese chocolate that you will accompany with muffins, cookies... We have been incredibly reasonable and have chosen Chai Tea (Indian milk and spice drink) and Cook Maori flavoured green tea (kiwi, apple, lemon). As its name indicates, the place created in July 2007 is modern but comfortable, and welcomes you at any time of the day. From the morning it is the full French breakfast that will be served with bread, butter, pastries and homemade jams. L'Antre de l'Echoppe - both factory and beer tavern - is an atypical place. Renaud and Céline welcome you with conviviality and love of a job well done! Vaulted ceiling, exposed stones, vats, board games and lots of beers. Twelve draught beers are available as well as mead wines, juices and organic sodas. When the place turns into a tavern, it is possible to come with your meal. You can also take a guided tour and discover the history of the place, as well as the techniques of beer making. Very instructive!

We love a store that smells of local, organic cooking! The Thé and Co salon offers a wide range of local products for sale: coffees, teas, jams, olive oils, Aude wines, local beer and the famous elderberry lemonade. And what could be more appropriate in the village of books than a library in this charming tearoom where you can enjoy home-cooked meals every lunchtime. The room is set off by vintage furniture, and the decor exudes a super-cosy atmosphere - we love it!

If you wish to discover the city by night, your steps will inevitably lead you to the Créneau on the pretty Place Saint-Jean. Its rooftop offers an unequalled view of the castle and the magnificent sunsets. You will be able to have lunch or dinner, under its shady canopy, on the terrace or in the contemporary decorated room, sip a cocktail while eating some tapas until late at night, or listen to the DJs some evenings. The perfect spot for a late dinner and a last drink. A very popular address for the youth of Carcassonne.

La Métairie is the place to be if you want to watch the sun set over the medieval town. This panoramic bar, high above the town, will delight your taste buds and your eyes, every evening of the week. The concept is simple: a cosy lounge bar, where you can enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail with a bite to eat. The afterwork version is open all year round, with quality foodtrucks: burger parties on Mondays, fish and chips on Thursdays and wood-fired pizzas every other day of the week!

When you come to Carcassonne, you visit the medieval City, but you also go down to the city to enjoy the charm and friendliness of the Place Carnot (very lively on market days). Petit Moka is the perfect place to take the time, the opportunity to take a small coffee, a tea or if the lunch break approaches to enjoy a simple and good kitchen (see restaurant section). In the afternoon, the terrace is taken by young moms who come with their small blonde heads to taste an ice or a small crepe. At Petit Moka you can also buy your coffee in grain or ground at the time, "Brazil" is our favorite. An address or a good mood is all year round!
