The Meudon Observatory is part of an entity called the Paris Observatory, including those of Paris and Nançay. Like the observatory in Paris, it is closed until 2020 to the public due to rehabilitation work. Located on a beautiful hill, its history really starts in the early eighteenth century when it bears the name of Meudon Royal Castle, a superb residence built for Louis XIV's son. After his fire in 1871 during the Franco-Prussian war, Jules Janssen, famous French astronomer, asked for his ruins to complement his own already existing astronomical installations. He then decided to launch the construction of a large telescope capable of pushing the limits of the sky's observations even further. The construction of the dome capable of receiving this prestigious instrument began in 1889. Its 18 m diameter combined with an estimated 100 tons weight makes it impressive. It is set up 7 years later and becomes one of the largest ever built in the world (and largest in Europe), stuffed only in diameter by the eyeglasses of Yerkes and Lick (USA) observatories. Its objective at the front of the tube leaves pantois with its 83 cm diameter. During the twentieth century, the imposing observatory of the observatory resisted perfectly the assaults of time, but the 1999 storm seriously damaged the dome. His restoration starts a few years later. Meudon's observatory is not just about this big telescope… Other instruments are present, including a telescope of 1 m in diameter that is not far from there, also under the cupole (little used due to high light pollution), as well as material for very specific observations.

The Jardy Golf course is part of the NGF network, and is, with tennis (including courses) and equestrian activities, the third stone of this high-end complex. Una Voce France is at the service of Gregorian choir conductors and choristers. It also intends to help all those who listen to, appreciate and promote Gregorian chant, sung prayer. At the end of 2021, this association will once again enter into resistance at a time when the Vatican wishes to eliminate the oldest, most patrimonial and most spiritual forms of the Catholic liturgy.

Initially intended for training, this racecourse was opened to the public in 1901, gradually becoming a must-see, to the point of having today a reputation and a notoriety extended to all of France. It is located on a plateau overlooking the Seine near the Val d'Or district of Clodoaldi and covers 75 hectares. On its 2,300-meter track, races known throughout France by horse racing fans take place. A nice moment to live in family!

Within the offices of the Hill, the club is very open and hosts as many regulars as occasional players. The rooms are large, and also serve the joggers of the Parc de Saint-Cloud, just a few steps away. Very animated evenings are organized to celebrate the open, for example. The squash team is particularly pleasant.

Billancourt Park is a 7-hectare green lung and has since summer 2017 been the 1 st health course of Boulogne-Billancourt. Designed on a 2 km loop, it is adapted to all and is rhythmic by 9 workshops from warm points to stretching points. The course is materialized by arrows, some exercises are made with sports stakes on site.

This pool is worth a visit! At the southern end of the Parc de Sceaux, and yet in the commune of Antony, the swimming pool of the Grenouillère, discovered, is open from mid-May to early September. There are no less than three pools at your disposal here: the first, Olympic, has dimensions (50 x 21 m) that will make it a good swimming area. The second, 21 x 15 m in size and no deeper than 1.30 m, is dedicated to learning. The last one, called the "diving pit", allows you to jump into almost 4 m of water, from three different diving boards: sensations guaranteed, and the children love it! A solarium completes the complex, which is very popular. A word of advice: the place is less saturated early in the morning. Finally, note that the Departmental Council, which has owned the premises since 2016, will launch a vast programme of major works in 2021, since it will involve nothing less than completely rebuilding this beautiful space. So we take advantage of it!

Owned by the Hauts-de-Seine département for the past twenty years, the Stade Yves-du-Manoir is a legendary venue for French sport, where many a feat has been accomplished. The C.S.A.H.R was established in 1968 by Raymond Le Brenn and brings together a large number of martial arts techniques: aikido, chauss'fight, senior gym, jujitsu, self defense, judo, karate, kick boxing, boxe boxing, Tai chi chuan. You can choose courses between all these disciplines, regardless of your level and age, and specialize. The committee has more than 1 000 members. For the story, and not least, the club is among its members of the real karate champions, I named the Pontiac brothers, who have three of the titles in very many categories, in France and in the world.
