Read moreThe space in which the theatre is located was built in 1934. This is the Fêtes ballroom. The director, Bernard Sobel, settled there in 1963. He founded the Ensemble Theatre of Gennevilliers, who, as an amateur, became little professional. In 1983, it became a National Drama Centre, and three years later the theatre was completely renovated. Today there is the Maria Casarès Hall - 350 seats - and the Salle Philippe Clévenot - 180 seats. The master has revealed many authors of France and elsewhere. Adventurous reviews of classics were legion and particularly explored the work of Bertolt Brecht. Pascal Rambert succeeded him in 2007.
