Read moreFor more than 20 years, the village of La Haye-de-Routot, in the northwestern part of the Eure department, has been struggling every even year to promote the benefits of nettle with unexpected recipes and variations of the perennial plant. Organized by the associations "Friends of Nettle" and "Living Lands", the festival celebrates its favourite plant and wild herbs. This event thus makes it possible to present all the uses of nettle, but also those of many plants unknown to the general public, who have come in ever-increasing numbers over the years.

The day's programme includes workshops for children, gardening, cooking, conferences, exhibitions of carved vegetables, games and a large market. Everything is being done to restore the nobility of forgotten vegetables.
