Housed in a former temple in the south of the city (Pépinière district), Belfort's puppet theater is one of the few of its kind in France. Some shows are specifically designed for children. In all, around a hundred performances are given each year, by some twenty companies. A highlight of the year: the Festival International de Marionnettes de Belfort in February.
