As of 1 October 2012, the services of the Saint-Jacques hospital will be transferred to the site of the Jean Minjoz hospital, with the exception of psychiatric and dermatology hospitalizations.

Because a mother's hug can be the best medicine, the hospital institutions have understood that the presence of parents and family is essential to the sick child, so the parents'home has been created. Located within maternity mothers and children, it provides a host structure allowing parents to reside independently with their child throughout the duration of their treatment in the hospital.
