The motto of the house is "Passion for meat"... and nothing could be more true! Opposite the park of the indigenous nations, this meat restaurant proposes in a seductive decoration all in wood, T.bones, filets mignons of 500 g, salads. Meat lovers will appreciate it. A little expensive, but the customers come back, which is a good sign. The atmosphere is always pleasant. Impressive wine cellar.

The Kaskata Flutuante is an institution in Cáceres. This boat-restaurant is wisely and permanently moored on the banks of the Rio Paraguay. It serves a simple and quality pantaneira cuisine. The specialty is pintado no espeto (freshwater fish cooked in tasty skewers with garlic and coconut milk) and the meat of farmed crocodile. This boat is of course a must-see venue, which can accommodate up to 100 guests. Located near the city center of Cáceres, easy to access, the view of the river is very pleasant.

The Regionalissimo is an institution in Cuiabà. It is a famous address for those who want to taste the local cuisine. The setting is simple and friendly, and many regulars have not hesitated to follow the restaurant into its new premises, next to the Rio Museum. An interesting buffet of local products and recipes is offered at lunchtime. The names of the dishes are written on an imitation of a traditional Pantanal musical instrument. Many regional recipes based on fish(pacu au pequi, pintado) or rice sausage and plantain.

The Cearà restaurant is an institution in the city. For decades, the establishment has been a very good restaurant of fairly cheap pantaneiras specialties. Here, it is the fish that is highlighted. The dishes are copious and rich (the fish with plantain is to discover). From Tuesday to Friday, the establishment proposes a marmitex (prepared dish) of meat with strogonoff, white rice, bananas with Milanese sauce and salad. It's a far cry from nouvelle cuisine. It's better for the taste buds than for the figure. Free buffet during the day.

At the Atma Resort (which is also a beautiful pousada), one comes here for the spectacular view, perhaps the most beautiful in the Chapada, from the huge bay windows of this sophisticated restaurant. And to make matters worse, the food is delicious and hearty. Prices are a little higher than average, but still affordable. The meat with tamarindo sauce is delicious and the grilled fish perfectly prepared. Worth a try!

Cantinho da Gula is a small, romantic and friendly churrascaria with a rustic decor, just a few steps from the main square. It serves mainly meat, but also well-prepared fish and caldos (soups) at very affordable prices. On the wooden tables, you can also try kebabs, another local speciality, whether it is meat (different types of meat are offered) or fish. The side dishes are generous. The place is very pleasant and the prices are very affordable.

Le Chapolin is certainly the best fish restaurant in town! Home-made plates and family atmosphere, rustic setting with wooden tables, affordable prices, deliciously grilled fish and a warm welcome... We recommend the pacu or the pintado (local freshwater fish) cooked on a wood fire in banana leaves accompanied by rice, beans and banana da terra, a delight. The owner always gives a warm welcome to customers. Remember to call to reserve your fish.

Le Lélis is an establishment that honors the Pantanal through its decor (photos and naturalized animals, including a pirarucu) and above all through its menu (jacarè sausage, mojica de pintado). Lélis is one of the best fish restaurants in Cuiabà and certainly deserves its reputation. The rodizios allow you to sample some of the region's many tasty fish varieties. The main dining room is modern and simple, with no frills. The service is professional. An impressive wine list... A gastronomic delight.
