CONFRADE

Bar and caf

The former micro-brewery Haus Bier no longer produces the beer it serves, but the place hasn't really changed. The petiscos are as appetizing as ever (cassava bolinhos with dried meat, cod bolinhos with aioli...). The menu is rich and varied. One can always eat well (very good fish, good mashed potato of banana da terra), rocked by the MPB of the groups which occur there. Family atmosphere conditioned by the space Kids, which gives again their freedom to the parents one evening of concert ao vivo as from 20h.

DECK AVENIDA

Bar and caf

The Deck Avenida, as its name suggests, is a large terrace overlooking the avenue Rubens de Mendoça. Very pleasant, the terrace fills up quickly at the end of the week. There are football fans and families (great fashion for the Kids area to keep the kids busy). Well, it's noisy, but it's the atmosphere of the popular Brazilian family restaurants. The food is decent and the beer is cold. Picanha, filet mignon, seafood, pizzas, it's the assurance to have a good time at correct prices. Pltas for 1 or 2 people.

TABOA

Bar and caf

For many years, the Taboa bar has become a reference point for Bonito's nights. It is a lively bar where you can listen to quality Brazilian ao vivo music, dance with the locals and taste the local aperitif made of cachaça, cinnamon and guaranà. You can also eat there, with burgers in particular. The Taboa takes its name from the 'ta boa ("it's okay", thrown in the cantonnade). The establishment also sells its cachaça cocktails as well as clay mugs (300 or 600 ml) and pods for drinking cachaça.

SALOME BAR

Bar and caf

The Salome Bar is above all a boteco, one of those regular bars where you can have a drink and eat in a family atmosphere, typical of Rio de Janeiro. It is a lively bar with a tasteful decoration (old-fashioned advertisements on all the walls), which proposes a copious menu of pesticides (in rodizio on certain days), happy hours on beer and other nightly revelations. On feijoada days, the seats are expensive... The atmosphere is young, festive and dancing, especially on concert nights. Very good cocktails based on cachaça.

DITADO POPULAR

Bar and caf

The Praça Popular has become an essential part of Cuiabà's nightlife. The restaurants and bars compete with each other to make a name for themselves or to keep their customers. The Ditado Popular is a gastro-bar. It is the most popular, agitated, noisy, but also the warmest bar of Praça Popular. The local youth comes here to mass, and there are often concerts ao vivo. The place is in fact open like a huge terrace, pleasant and very simple. Seats are expensive, of course, at happy hour.

For more than 20 years, Café Mostarda has been a lively spot in the nights of Campo Grande, ideally located on Afonso Pena Avenue, in the heart of the "morena" city. ERNESTO

Bar and caf

Café Ernesto is a small, contemporary and sophisticated café-resto about a 20-minute walk from the city's shopping centre (7 minutes by taxi). It has established itself as one of the best restaurants in its category. It serves a good coffee, but also some delicious international dishes based on local products (the slate is renewed every day) in a cosy atmosphere. Some dishes are more than enough for two people. The "pintado" (local fish) is excellent. Good and charming. Good music selection.

BONITO BEER

Bar and caf

Brazil, as many people do not know, is the other country of beer. The Bonito beer, as its name indicates, is entirely dedicated to this hopped beverage. Respecting the spirit of the times, it is a micro-brewery that produces its own beer. Beer lovers (and the not-so-lovers will also find themselves there) will not miss a visit to this cerveja bar where you can serve yourself directly from large stainless steel barrels. Good local beers to try and a slice of pepperoni pizza to wash it all down. Some evenings, ao vivo music.

MERCEARIA

Beer bar

This concept is not unique, as it exists in many places in Rio de Janeiro and Sampa, but it is very pleasant. The Mercearia is a small friendly bar located in an old grocery store (mercearia in Portuguese). We come there to try the beer menu but also to fill a small hollow with excellent bolinhos. A real carioca-style boteco, it is a place to know, simple and authentic. One comes here to appreciate the atmosphere of the less. It's a less trendy establishment than the trendy bars of the city.
